MS Program (Electrical)
Introduction
The Department of Electrical Engineering offers a Master of Science (Electrical
Engineering) degree program requiring the student to complete 30 credit hours of
graduate studies as follows: (a) Core coursework: 9 Credit Hours; (b) Specialization
Courses: 15 Credit Hours and (c) Research Thesis: 6 Credit Hours.
The program is offered as a generalized MS in Electrical Engineering, requiring the
student to complete a small set of required core courses and allowing the student to
choose most of the remaining specialization courses freely from amongst the
advanced elective courses offered by the ME Department
Eligibility:
The applicant must have a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a
closely related engineering discipline with a CGPA of 2.5/4.0
The applicant must pass the NTS GAT General Test with a minimum score of
50%
MS (EE) Coursework - Core Courses
The core courses of the MS (EE) Program are:
1. Advanced Mathematical Techniques
2. Advanced Computing and Simulation Techniques
3. Research Methodology
MS Thesis
As part of the requirements for the award of MS (EE) degree the MS student will have
to carry out research work on an approved topic and submit a thesis. The student will
conduct the thesis research under the supervision of an approved Supervisor and
Advisory Committee. The MS Thesis will be evaluated as specified in the DHA Suffa
University Rules and Regulations for Graduate Studies.
