CASES WHRE A PASSPORT BOOKLET IS TO BE ISSUED

Full Validity of a Passport for an applicant below 15 years is : 5 years
Full Validity of a Passport for an applicant above 15 years is : 10 years
Sworn Affidavits or Passport application form or any other declaration made by the
minor applicants will have to be countersigned by his/her parent or legal guardian
An applicant applying for a passport booklet under TATKAAL Scheme will have to
pay SR.565/- in addition to the other applicable fees. Passport applied under TATKAAL
Scheme are normally given the SAME DAY.
PLEASE NOTE: Passport issuance cases where PISON or PAC check reveals the existing
passport as IMPOUNDED/REVOKED, applicant falling under Prior Approval Category
(PAC), PVR Adverse, PVR Incomplete require thorough scrutiny and processing of these
cases need great deal of efforts on the part of dealing hand as he has to do protracted
correspondence with the PIAs to obtain clearance for such cases. These cases are being
dealt with by Shri M.C. Joshyboy.

Expiry of validity of existing passport

be attested by the G.A.D. or Home Deptt. of the concerned State
Copy of duly attested Secondary School Certificate (original is to be seen) Original
Secondary School Certificate should be attested by the competent authorities in India (authorized
to attest the educational documents for overseas submission purpose)
If the applicant is an illiterate or non-matriculate an Sworn Affidavit to this effect needs to be
obtained from the applicant in stead of the Secondary School Certificate.

TO BE ISSUED AFTER RECEIVING CLEAR PVR AND CLEARANCE FROM THE
CONCERNED PIAs. MINISTRY ALSO NEEDS TO BE INFORMED.
