The Happy Prince Moral value

Happy Prince tale give us some moral values. According to me, the first moral value that can we found in
this tale is to be happy is good, but we must look around us too. Not only us who has right to be happy
but other people has right to be happy too. As a Prince in that time, Happy Prince is a must to know his
people. During his life, he just know about happiness because in that palace he always be happy, live in
luxurious place with so many luxurious things too, he almost never being sad. He never know what
happen behind the palace wall. In fact, behind that wall there are many people who get misery because
they are poor. They dont have enough money to buy luxurious things like what Happy Prince has. To
find food or to buy it they must work had. If they are sick, they only take care in their own house without
a good treatment. How poor they are. The happy prince realize that condition when he was died and
become a luxurious statue. His place in the middle of town. So, everyday, every night, every time he can
see the peoples activities. He can see how misery they are. Happy Prince describes our leader whether
he is father, major, governor even president. As a good leader they must look around them, they must
know what happen with them in reality. They must not be happy by himself while his other populace are
misery.
Second thing that can I get from this tale come from a little bird. A little bird open the Happy Prince way
to compensate his mistake as long as he life. In the beginning the little bird just want to stay there for a
while but Happy Prince try to make him stay there longer by gives some reasons. A little bird doubt to
help him first. But, finally the little bird wants to stay there longer and he wants to help him until the end
of his life. From this action we can conclude that to help someone we must consider whether it is really
good to help or not. I mean if we help someone to a goodness just do it but if someone ask us to help him
to a wickedness dont do it because it just give us nothing and increase our sin.
Third thing is How lofty if we help someone soon without hoping for his/her response or revenge. Help
someone and make him being happy make us being happy too. How beautiful this life if we want to share
our happiness to others. A little bird describe someone who open end his heart to help someone without
hoping for other response. He wants to help as well as he can. In this era, it is difficult to find someone
who want to help misery people. They dont care what happen and what will happen to them. A man who
has much wealth is proud with his wealth and doesnt want to share it. So, we can found a man who is
rich be rich more and more while a poor man is be poor increasingly.
Fourth is it is important to sacrifice our self interest when we help someone who lacked for our kindness.
We can emphasizing to put away our self interest during it is not really important and urgent. As long as
we can help to decrease other people misery, why not? Just do our action and we will look the change.
Maybe someday that people will help us too when we are in misery and need a help.
The last thing come from a major. We can see from major attitude when he know the Happy Prince statue
is broken and it is become so ugly. He is disgusted to see it and ask people melt in become iron dust and
change the statue become his statue. A major describe a selfish and an arrogant man. The moral value is it
is not good to be a selfish and an arrogant man because it will lose out ourselves. If we are a selfish man,
other people unpleasant when they near us and someday they will hate us because we just care for
ourselves and we dont care with them.
