Abstract
Problem of Child labor is a considerable phenomenon for both developed and developing nations
there are many factors that affect child labor. The purpose of this study is to explore factors
affecting child labor in Pakistan. For this purpose district Peshawar is selected as population and
in Peshawar city four areas include Karkhanu Market, Board Bazar, Peshawar Sadar and
Peshawar City are selected for further selection of sample. Sample size of 100 respondents is
selected from the mentioned four areas from each area 25 respondents are selected and
interviewed. Descriptive statistics and Regression model is used in performing the analysis.
Results of regression model showed that factors i.e. size of family, father income, parents
education status and child illiteracy do not affect child labor.
