The purpose of the meeting was to lscuss the aspiations of a Neighbourhood Forum to take forward Area A, folowng Its orm designation, and to facitate a group discussion. This letter documents some of Posive outcomes ofthe meeting that the Counc! hopes wil be further developed unan by all particpants in due course. We fet that progress was made towards consensus between the diferent groupe werking In Bermondsey and we were heartened by the agreement at the end of the meeting for single application to come forward for Area A and for consideration of addtional applications for oer areas, We were also encouraged thal those present woul! consider how to reflect all ¢f the ‘communities within the area. Those present also agreed that they would engage with different viewpoints held by individuals within the area, and work through issues and Polis in a manner where everyone is afforded respect and courtesy [New Neighbourhood Planning regulations were introduced by the Goverment on 9 Februaty 2015, These Regulations reduce the period within which an LPA must determine ‘an application trom a relevant body forthe designation of Neighbourhood Forum to 13 weeks, ‘As advised atthe meeting, anyone is entitled to submit an appation, which the Counc is Under a statutory obligation to detormine within 13 wooks, starting with the day a valid pplication is received. Concern was raised in relation to the determination period of an application, in the instance that @ second application was submitted, within the timescale, {rom a diferent relevant body for an overlapping area. The Counc! confimed that he 13 ‘weoks would apply to each indivigual application “There was a general consensus atthe end of the meeting that those present would work together inclusively as a Neighbourhood Forum, and submit an application demonstrating tat they are a relevant body.
