Supports Yahoo storage of over 120PB, which is 2500 NetApp Filers.
Completed the data Migration of 200tb Database from FAS3070 (7 filers) to FAS3170 (4 Clusters). In
this Project we used WAN accelerators like Silver Peak to transfer the data across the regions.
Wrote Perl scripts to automate to automate the Netvault installation on the backup clients.
Designed and planned the Staging database refresh project. This project is to snapmirror the entire
Panama and Apex Databases (200 TB) to a new set of filers
Planned and designed the Tech refresh Project for Yahoo! Address book property. Combined a
FAS3050, FAS980 into a single FAS6080.Consolidated 2 FAS840's into a single FAS3070
Assisted and executed a network upgrade project on Panama and Apex properties. This consisted of
installing additional NIC cards and modifying the existing VIF configurations on 10 Clusters.
Provided On-Call training overseas to New hires in our Bangalore Office.
Configured and installed all the Models of Netapp filer/Clusters which includes FAS 6070, FAS 6080,
FAS 3170, FAS 3050, FAS 980,FAS 960
Assisted in extrapolating customer information from Yahoo database for the shared storage systems.
This contributed to informing customers for upcoming maintenance windows.
Proficient with Brocade and Cisco SAN zoning. Execute Weekly zone pushes on Brocade 48k and Cisco
9509 switches for new filers that are being added to backups
Worked on Project to retire the old Hardware in Yahoo storage. Contacted all the properties that are
using old hardware models. If the filers are not used they were retired and if the filers are used heavily
they were consolidated to a FAS960 or FAS980 according to the Property requirement.
On On-call rotation and Supported the P0 and P1 issues.
Worked on day-to-day Storage Operations involving various hardware, software issues on filers both
Single Node and Clustered Filers.

Data-Protection Intern Yahoo

June 2006 to June 2007

 Restored 7 year's worth of data (150tb) from tapes for Sage warehouse.
Wrote Perl script to Install Netvault on new server and set different options, which are necessary for a
Netvault Server Installation.
