COST: The course fee per delegate is N300,000.00 (Three Hundred Thousand Naira). We offer reasonable discount and flexible
part payment to individuals, there is also percentage discount for early payment and for group participation to companies. The
course fee covers: Nebosh registration, exam fee, tuition, course materials, tea break and lunch break.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
The course aims to provide delegates
l
with sufficient knowledge to be able to complete the NEBOSH written and practical assessments.
l
with an understanding of International health and safety standards & legislation
l
enable delegates to monitor safety performance in their workplace
l
investigate accidents effectively
l
assist in the design and implementation of safe systems of work and accident prevention programs.
PRIOR KNOWLEDGE No prior knowledge is required, however Safeguard PGC and PAC will be an added advantage
COURSE CONTENTS
The Course Content is divided into 3 units. Each of the first two units is further divided into a number of elements:
UNIT IGC 1: MANAGEMENT OF INTERNATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
Element 1: Foundations in health and safety
Element 2: Health and Safety Management Systems 1- Policy
Element 3: Health and Safety Management Systems 2- Organising
Element 4: Health and Safety Management Systems 3- planning
Element 5: Health and Safety Management Systems 4- Measuring, Audit and Review
Unit IGC 2: CONTROL OF INTERNATIONAL WORKPLACE HAZARDS
Element 1: Workplace Hazards and Risk Control
Element 2: Transport Hazards and Risk Control
Element 3: Musculoskeletal Hazards and Risk Control
Element 4: Work Equipment Hazards and Risk Control
Element 5: Electrical Safety
Element 6: Fire Safety
Element 7: Chemical and Biological Health Hazards and Risk Control
Element 8: Physical and Psychological Health Hazards and Risk Control
Unit IGC 3: INTERNATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY PRACTICAL APPLICATION
The aim of this unit is to assess a candidate's ability to complete successfully two activities:
l
To carry out, unaided, a safety inspection of a workplace, identifying the more common hazards, deciding whether they
are adequately controlled and, where necessary, suggesting appropriate and cost effective remedial action
l
To prepare a report that persuasively urges management to take appropriate action, explaining why such action is needed
(including reference to possible breaches of legislation) and identifying, with due consideration of reasonable
practicability, the remedial measures that should be implemented.
EXAMINATIONS
Units IGC1 and IGC2 are taught units each assessed by one two-hour written examination. Each written examination
consists of ten 'short-answer' questions and one 'long-answer' question. All questions are compulsory. Candidate scripts
are marked by external examiners appointed by NEBOSH. Pass mark for IGC 1 and IGC 2 is 45% each
Unit IGC3 is assessed by one two-hour practical examination. This is held on a date set by the course provider and must be
taken within 14 days of a written examination. The practical examination is internally assessed by the course provider and
externally moderated by NEBOSH. Pass mark for IGC 3 is 60%.
CERTIFICATION
All delegates who successfully complete all 3 units will receive 4 certificates from the National Examination Board in
Occupational Safety and Health. Those who are referred in any of the unit(s) will receive certificate(s) for the unit(s) they
passed only and have opportunity to rewrite the referred unit subsequently.
