RE: 06-02-15---REGISTRATION OF VOTES OF UNIVERSITY
STUDENTS .
Dear Jag,
Thank you for your further email.
Any change in the registration process would
require a change in legislation. As a statutory
organisation The Electoral Commission does not
have the power to create or amend laws so this
would be a matter for the Cabinet Office. If you would
like to contact them about this issue, you can
contact them using the following details:

06-02-15---REGISTRATION OF VOTES OF UNIVERSITY
STUDENTS
ESTEEMED PROF. DAME NANCY ROTHWELL ,

THANKS FOR YOUR VERY KIND PROMPT RESPONSE WITH

REGARD TO THE REGISTRATION OF VOTES OF UNIVERSITY
STUDENTS AT THEIR UNIVERSITIES , WHEREVER THEY ARE
. IT HAS BEEN BROADCASTED IN THE NEWS THAT EARLIER
ON THE ENTIRE HALLS OF RESIDENCE USED TO BE
REGISTERED COLLECTIVELY TO VOTE IN A GENERAL
ELECTION . BUT NOW EVERY INDIVIDUAL STUDENT HAS TO
MAKE AN INDIVIDUAL EFFORT TO GET THEMSELVES
REGISTERED TO VOTE . THIS IS ONLY UNRIGHT AND NEEDS
THE GRACIOUS HAND OF A VICE CHACELLOR TO ALLOW
FAIR-PLAY AND NOT A FOUL-PLAY . COULD YOU PLEASE
ENSURE THAT THE ENTIRE HALLS OF RESIDENCE DOES
HAVE THEIR VOTES REGISTERED IN MANCHESTER. BUT
THEN IT STILL LEAVES THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS THAT
LIVE IN MANY DIFFERENT AREAS NOT REGISTERED ,
UNLESS THEY NDIVDUALLY TAKE THE INITIATIVE . ONLY
VICE CHANCELLORS CAN ENSURE A LIVE DEMOCRACY ,
THAT THE STATE CAN MAKE IT AUTOMATICALLY FOR
EVERY STUDENT FOR EVERY UNIVERSITY TO BE
REGISTERED , WHEREVER THEIR UNIVERSITY IS .
WITH PROFOUNDS REGRDS AND ALL BEST WISHES,
YOURS SINCERELY , JAG KANCHANA SINGH . 06-02-15 .
