Sewara Slow Living

(A Unit of Sewara Hospitality & Development)

ABOUT
Sewara believes in capturing the essence of life by slowing down the pace and savouring the moments;
giving all our guests unique experiences filled with meaning and fulfillment. Synonymous with 'slow
living', it is an attempt to promote this lifestyle through our verticals - hospitality & organics.
Best known for Delhi's favourite al fresco dining destination, Lodi - The Garden Restaurant, Sewara's
most recent accolades have come through Lakshman Sagar which has been a member of PURE Life
Experiences since 2013 and more recently has been included in the Conde Nast Traveller Gold Standard
List for 2015.
Sewara also provides an entire food basket that ranges from fresh seasonal produce to ready-to-eat
products directly sourced from its certified organic farms and prepared in its own kitchens. In the coming
years, Sewara Organics looks at becoming a household name with those wanting to adapt a healthy and
organic lifestyle.

VISION
Sewara's primary objective is to create ecologically and culturally anchored high-end getaways while
propagating the sustenance and perpetuation of the socio-cultural and ecological heritage of India; past
and living. Our focus is to integrate 'slow living' with a contemporary outlook; creating a source for a
healthy lifestyle option which is easily available for the urban milieu.

Sewara balances out a commitment to uncompromising services & best quality products to our patrons
with a sense of consistent harmony with traditions and nature. In developing and promoting our ethos &
values; we attempt to ingrain in our internal and external patrons a sense of responsibility towards India's
indigenous traditions, ethnicity and natural environment. Through direct and indirect contributions
through our various verticals, all our employees and projects reinforce this attempt.

From pristine destinations to casual dining restaurants and organic products; all Sewara services &
products are interlaced with these core aesthetics and values.

MISSION
Sewara positions itself as a looking glass of India in its form - a melting pot of traditions and culture with
a contemporary, fresh and worldly outlook. Rooted in our role as guardians of India's cultural and
environmental heritage, Sewara is a commitment to nurture this socio-cultural and ecologically legacy.

Our ethics propagate sensitivity towards balancing our past with the demands of the present. At the same
time we continued to challenge and alleviate our standards of creativity and uniqueness to stay ahead. We
aspire to propagate welfare and betterment of the locals by taking inspiration from local cultural and
services and revive the age old traditional techniques which are alarmingly disappearing by supporting the
local artisans.
An example of this is the 'zero kilometer' concept that we have adapted at Lakshman Sagar, Rajasthan,
which defines its purely local character. The property takes inspiration from life around its surroundings
interspersed with chic interpretations through design immerging with a rural demeanor.

VALUES
Our values are deeply rooted and engrained in every aspect of our business. Sewara is strongly influenced
by the internationally prominent 'Slow Movement' and advocates a cultural shift toward slowing down
life's corner of the country, we emphasized on showcasing the ever-evolving and dynamic characteristics
of India.

Being an ecologically sensitive brand, we are committed to minimizing our carbon footprint and ensuring
maximum use of recycled products. With a conscious effort towards sustainable development, all Sewara
properties are eco friendly and we ensure maximum utilization of resources.
From presenting bespoke experiences to our guests at all our properties to bringing healthy organic
products to the urban milieu, we aim at building a long term relationship with every Sewara patron &
develop a better understanding of them through every 'slow' experience that we offer.

HISTORY
Setting the standard and framework at Sewara from the top is Inderpal Singh Kochhar, the mind behind
the conceptualization of Sewara. Being a global nomad and taking inspirations from his travels, Inderpal
has been deeply inspired by the concept of 'Slow Living'; highlights of which resonate in the brand from
the time of its inception.

In 2005, Inderpal took over the reins of Sewara with the running of Lodi - The Garden Restaurant and
subsequently Pushkar Resorts. By turning around systems - operational and infrastructural - he
transformed both properties into immensely profitable businesses within 2 years & added another resorts,
Lakshman Sagar, to the existing portfolio.
With this success to his credit, Inderpal is relentlessly working towards ensuring the success of upcoming
properties Quila Tatarpur, Mahar Kala, Ajab Garh, Fort Bagri in Rajasthan, Ruthland & Smith Island in
Andamans & his latest venture, Sewara Organics.
