1. Hola Ren, es un placer platicar contigo, te comento que todos somos del centro del
pas, actualmente todos habitamos en Mxico D.F., sin embargo, algunos de nosotros
nacimos o vivimos durante la infancia en municipios del Estado de Mxico dentro del rea
metropolitana. Aunque nuestras familias provienen de diferentes estados de la repblica,
entre ellos: Oaxaca, Guerrero, Quertaro, Zacatecas y Colima.
En San Cristobal solamente estaremos rondando sbado 3 y domingo 4 de enero, pues el
domingo 5 estaremos en Palenque visitando las ruinas y las cascadas de Agua Azul.

2. Creemos que es una hermosa ciudad, con calles y andadores que invitan a recorrerlos
tranquilamente, con iglesias y construcciones de belleza colonial, todo en medio de
tradicionales casas con techos de teja, donde habita gente muy clida y amable; que
ofrece al numeroso turismo internacional que recibe constantemente, una amplia gama de
sabores, colores, sonidos e idiomas nativos propios del folklor mexicano, particularmente
Chiapaneco.
En cuanto al plan de viaje, ahora continuaremos por Palenque y despus iremos Comitn,
en donde realizaremos algunas entrevistas en la radio y llevaremos acabo un "Concierto
gastronmico", en el cual trabajaremos con el chef Sergio Caballero, un amigo con el cual
realizaremos una cena mexicana de "cocina de autor", acompaada de nuestra msica
mexicana de concierto, todo con la finalidad de amalgamar y ensalzar los sabores y
sonidos tradicionales de nuestra cultura.

3.Comenz hace 2 aos como un ensamble de guitarra y voz, con el tiempo se fueron
incorporando los dems elementos, llegando a la dotacin instrumental actual desde hace
9 meses, momento en que nace en su totalidad "Camerata Bohemia". A pesar de ser
proyecto joven, nuestra formacin acadmica, la relacin tan cercana que llevamos y las
vivencias como sta, de ir viajando por el pas difundiendo nuestras races por medio de la
msica, nos ha permitido lograr el ensamble y timbre particular de nuestra agrupacin.
4. Nos gusta definirla como "Msica Mexicana de Concierto", la denominamos as por el
trato y el cuidado exclusivo que le damos como msicos acadmicos a cada una de las
canciones, sin embargo, nuestro repertorio abarca muchos gneros de la msica
mexicana, desde compositores acadmicos como: Maria Grever, Manuel M. Ponce e
Ignacio Espern, hasta compositores tradicionales como: Jose Alfredo Jimnez, "Chava"
Flores y los hermanos Zaizar.

Tambin seleccionamos los instrumentos que nos conforman, debido a conceptos que
consideramos nos definen. La armona y acompaamiento caractersticos de la cancin
mexicana, la encontramos entre lo ntimo de los requintos y la intensidad de los rasgueos
propios de la guitarra. La precisin y refinamiento de la msica acadmica nos remiti al
contundente respaldo armnico que ofrece el violoncello. Nuestros instrumentos de
percusin algunos de ellos flamencos y africanos nos remiten al origen mestizo,
extico y ancestral de los patrones rtmicos existentes a lo largo nuestra historia como
especie y como mexicanos en particular. Asimismo, hemos optado por la fuerza y temple
de la voz masculina con la amplia tesitura y gallarda de nuestro tenor y, finalmente, la
sensualidad, temperamento y sensibilidad de la mujer, manifiesta en la potencia, dulzura y
arrebato pasional de nuestra soprano en la voz femenina.
5. Como artistas creemos que no hay escenario pequeo o grande, nuestro compromiso
es el mismo con cada audiencia, nuestro objetivo, en cambio, es que en cada rincn de
Mxico y el mundo tenga eco y prestigio nuestra msica; ya que creemos primordial
fomentar en nuestros compatriotas el conocimiento de la msica endmica, pretendiendo
forjar as una identidad unificada en los valores. Respecto al resto del mundo, mostrar una
cara renovada de Mxico y sus expresiones artsticas, ms all de los elementos
comerciales.
6. Nos encantara estar ms a menudo por ac, por el momento, tenemos contemplada la
invitacin a participar en el siguiente festival del pox en noviembre del 2015, al parecer se
trata de un evento masivo que conjugar diferentes gneros musicales y esta ser su
tercera edicin, por lo dems, estamos en la mejor disposicin de regresar cuantas veces
nos inviten, pues hemos estrechado buenas amistades aqu y la gente nos ha recibido de
excelente manera, al final les dejaremos todos nuestros datos, pues estamos a su
disposicin para cualquier contratacin.
Tambin regresaremos a Chiapas el 14 de febrero, para celebrar el da de San Valentn
con un romntico "concierto gastronmico" al estilo mexicano, con 5 deliciosas muestras
de nuestra cocina, por parte del excelente chef Sergio Caballero, acompaadas de las
canciones ms romnticas de Camerata Bohemia. As que comunquense con nosotros
para reservar su lugar en esta cena que tendr lugar en Comitn, Chiapas.
7. Coincidimos en escuchar la msica tradicional como la que ejecutamos y aunque cada
quien escucha msicos destacados del instrumento al que se dedica, todos tenemos
gustos musicales muy distintos; yo (Carlos) tengo especial predileccin por el rock
progresivo, la trova y rock en espaol, Dinora suele escuchar pera, pop en espaol y
rock alternativo, Gibrn, coincide con Dinora en escuchar con gran frecuencia pera y un
poco de jazz, Jonathan tiende a escuchar y experimentar con msica concreta, electrnica
y k-pop, en cambio Josu prefiere rock y metal en ingls, adems del fara fara (gnero del
norte de Mxico); como vers cada uno tiende gustos particulares muy distintos entre s.

8. Pensamos que existen muchsimos msicos con gran talento que han generado
bastantes proyectos alternativos en diferentes gneros, lamentablemente las productoras,
managers y medios de comunicacin masivos se encuentran concentrados en "vender
msica" por el negocio en s mismo, fomentando el consumo de canciones de muy pobre
armona, con ritmos repetitivos, letras que giran alrededor de un ideal romntico o de
contenido sexual explcito; a todas luces de baja calidad y sin inters en la formacin,
reflexin o proyeccin de msica ms elaborada.
9. Dinora (soprano), Gibrn (tenor) y yo, Carlos (Guitarrista) estudiamos la licenciatura en
cantante de pera y concertista en guitarra, respectivamente, en el Conservatorio
Nacional de Msica, perteneciente al Instituto Nacional de las Bellas Artes (INBA);
Jonathan (cellista) estudia tambin a nivel licenciatura su instrumento en la ahora Facultad
de Msica de la Universidad Nacional Autnoma de Mxico (UNAM) y Josu
(percusionista) es licenciado en Relaciones Internacionales por la UNAM y musicalmente
su formacin ha sido autodidacta, adems de tener una larga trayectoria como baterista
en proyectos de msica comercial, lo que nutre nuestra proyeccin como ensamble.
Adems, yo (Carlos) soy psiclogo egresado, Dinora estudio Letras Italianas y Gibrn
estudio unos aos tambin psicologa, todos orgullosamente de la UNAM.

Q. Where in Mexico are you all from? How long have you been in San Cris?
Hi Passageways, a pleasure talking to you. We are all in the Midwest we now all live
in Mexico City, however, some of us were born or have lived as children in various
municipalities of Mexico within the metropolitan area including: Oaxaca, Guerrero,
Queretaro, Zacatecas and Colima.

We are in San Cristobal from Saturday 3rd to Sunday 4th of Jan, Sunday 5th we will
visit the ruins at Palenque and Agua Azul waterfalls.

Q. What do you think of San Cris? How long will you tour Mexico and where will
you go next?
We believe (San Cris) is a beautiful city, with streets and walkways that invite you to
visit them quietly, churches and buildings of colonial beauty, all amidst traditional
houses with tile roofs and inhabited by very warm and friendly people; which
provides numerous international tourism and constantly receives a wide range of
flavors, colors, sounds and native languages of Mexican folklore, particularly
Chiapas.
With regard to travel plans we will now continue on to Palenque and then Comitan,
where we will conduct interviews on radio and perform a 'gourmet Concert, working
with chef Sergio Caballero, the guests will eat Mexican cuisine, while listening to our
unique Mexican music, the combination of authentic Mexican food and live music is
hoped to create an amalgamation of the flavors and traditional sounds of our culture.

Q. How long have you been together as a group?
Two years ago we were a conglomeration of guitar and vocals, eventually we
incorporated other elements (into the group), leading to our present instrumental
ensemble Camerata Bohemia which has been active for nine months. Despite being
a young project, our education and the close relationship that we have has allowed us
to travel throughout the country spreading our roots through music.

Q. How would you describe your music?
We like to define our music as "Mexican Concert Music". As academic musicians we
give exclusive treatment and care to each and every song we produce and perform.
Our repertoire covers many genres of Mexican music, composers such as Maria
Grever, M. Ponce and Ignacio Manuel Esperon, to traditional composers like: Jose
Alfredo Jimenez, "Chava" Flowers and the Zaizar brothers.
We personally selected the instruments that contribute greatly to the music, this has
helped define us. The harmony and characteristics that accompany Mexican music,
we find between the depths of the requintos and the intensity of strumming on the
guitar. The precision and refinement of classical music directed us to the strong
harmonic support offered by the cello. Our instruments mimic the flamingos of Latin
America and some instruments mimic the beat of the African drum which takes us
back to the mestizo percussion which is exotic and ancestral in origin. We aim to
mix the existing rhythmic patterns in our culture and sift them through our history as
a species and as Mexicans in particular.

Additionally we have added the strength and courage of the male voice with the wide
tessitura and gallantry of our tenor ( ). Along with the sensuality, temperament and
sensitivity of women, manifesting power, sweetness and passion from our soprano
female voice ( ).

Q. We watched you perform in a very intimate setting. You really touched us with
your music. Do you think this kind of environment suits your music? Or do you also
like to play at larger venues?
As artists we believe there may be a small or large stage, either way our commitment
to the quality of music is the same with each audience. Our goal is to have every
corner of Mexico and the world resonating with our prestige to music. We encourage
our primordial knowledge of endemic music, trying to forge a unified identity of
values. Regarding the rest of the world we want to present a renewed face of Mexico
and its arts, beyond the commercial elements expressions.

Q. Are you planning on returning to San Cris? If so when can we look forward to
seeing you again?
We would love to stay hang around more in San Cris, but for the moment we have
accepted an invitation to participate in the next Pox Festival in November 2015. This
is a massive event that will combine different musical genres. Otherwise we are in the
best position to return (to San Cris) as often as we are invited. We have good friends
here and people here have welcomed us warmly.
We will be returning to Chiapas on February 14th to celebrate Valentine's Day with a
romantic "gastronomic concert" Mexican style, with five delicious samples from the
kitchen, prepared by chef Sergio Caballero and accompanied with the most romantic
songs Camerata Bohemia can offer. So get in contact with us to reserve your place at

Q. What kind of music do you guys like to listen to?
Obviously we all agree on traditional music however we all have very different
musical tastes; I (Carlos) have a special liking for progressive rock, Trova and
Spanish rock. Dinora (our tenor) usually listens to Opera music, pop and alternative
Spanish rock. Gibran coincides with Dinora listening to Opera and a little jazz.
Jonathan tends towards electronic music and k-pop. However Joshua prefers English
rock and metal.

Q. What do you think of the Mexican music scene?
We believe that there are many talented musicians in Mexico that have generated
enough alternative projects throughout different genres. Unfortunately the producers,

managers and mass media are too concentrated on "selling music" by the industry.
Encouraging songs of very poor harmony, repetitive rhythms, revolving lyrics of a
sexually explicit nature and obviously of low quality and uninteresting in training.

Q. Are you all classically trained musicians or self-taught?
Dinora (soprano), Gibran (tenor) and Carlos (guitar) graduated with a degree in opera
and concert singing at the National Conservatory of Music, part of the National
Institute of Fine Arts (INBA). Jonathan (cellist) also studied at an undergraduate level
at the Faculty of Music at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM)
and Joshua (percussionist) has a degree in International Relations from the UNAM
and is self-taught with already having a long career as a drummer in commercial
music projects, which nourishes our projection and assembly. I (Carlos) have a
degree in Psychology and Dinora (female tenor) studied Lyrics and Italian, all
proudly UNAM.

Q. Do you have any plans to record your music? And finally where can we find you
