Transformer is a static device which transforms electrical energy from one circuit to
another without any direct electrical connection and with the help of mutual induction
between two windings. It transforms power from one circuit to another without changing
its frequency but may be in different voltage level Transformer allows voltage levels to be
changed throughout the electrical distribution system so that the most economical
voltage can be used in each part of the system.

SERVOMAX brand is synonymous for Transformers and Power conditioning equipments
The Ultra-low core losses (No-load) of an amorphous core isolation transformer yields
substantial energy and cost savings for its owner. In fact, amorphous core transformers
can lower core loss by 60-70 percent compared to transformers made with conventional
cold-rolled grainoriented (CRGO) cores, resulting in cost avoidance from reduced
generation and deferral of generation and transmission capacity expansions.
The reduced core loss of an ACIT lessens
impact on the environment by reducing
carbon emissions over the transformers
entire operating life. Also, the amorphous
metal core manufacturing process is more
efficient, using less energy than required to
manufacture CRGO cores. And, amorphous
metal cores, along with the copper,
aluminum, and oil components can be
recycled, promoting conservation of these
valuable resources.

2000A both in Air & Oil Cooled. Servomax has

Equipments to conduct tests as per IS: 5142 with aninstalled capacity of 35000 units Per

SERVOMAX research has developed design features and proprietary process providing

faster dissipation of heat generated. Basic single SERVOMAX Auto transformers are
rated either at 240V AC or 120V AC, For 1 Ph application one coil is used, for 2Ph
applications two coils are used and for 3 Ph applications three coils are used. For some
applications coils are connected in series to withstand high voltages.

SERVOMAX has a wide range of Power Conditioning Products which reduces the
power line problems like voltage regulation, noise, spikes, surges, transients,
and neutral problems.
Power generation in our country is no doubt good and availability of continuous
power is certainly better, but the stringent requirements of the sophisticated
equipment being used today underlines the necessity of clean power.
Owing to inductive loads, capacitive loads, SMPS loads, electronic ballasts and
with PWM switching systems the present AC power lines are superimposed with
dangerous spikes, surges, transients, sags RFI noise and harmonics. As a result
the failure rates of equipments are on the risk without adequate protection, all
electronic equipments are at great risk.
Usually the failures are not recognized right way. Repeated stresses from normal
electrical transients weaken components and lead to shortening of components
life. Line noises like spikes, surges and transients definitely cause stress
experienced catastrophic failures and software failures, extensive damage to

Isolation Transformer
An isolation transformer is a transformer used to transfer electrical power from
a source of alternating current (AC) power to some equipment or device while
isolating the powered device from the power source. Basically this function goes
like this, it decouples the circuits and then supplies the current from one circuit
to another. This transformer completely isolates all the circuits and then
supplies power individually which makes it all the more desirable and
comprehensible. An isolation transformer does not have a direct electrical path
from the power input side to the power output side their design is based more on

Servo Control Voltage Stabilizer
Servo Voltage Stabilizer uses an advance electronic controlled servo motor
concept to govern a motorized variable transformer. Because of the motors
involved, there is a small delay in voltage correction. However, output voltage
accuracy is usually 1% with input voltage changes of up to 50%. This type of
technology tends to be extremely effective when considering large three phase
applications, as it is able to maintain its accuracy of all these phases, despite of

SERVOMAX K-FACTOR transformers are designed to reduce the heating effects
of harmonic currents created by loads like UPS, DIODS, SCR, RECTIFITER,
SERVER ROOMS and NON LINEAR LOADS. The K-FACTOR rating is an index of
the transformers ability to withstand harmonic content while operating within
the temperature limits of its insulating system.
SERVOMAX K-FACTOR transformers have ratings of K-4, K-13, and K-20 with
high common mode and transverse mode noise attenuation fits perfectly in
environments where there is a need for spike and ground noise protection.
The SERVOMAX K-FACTOR design is a specialized transformer that offers these
benefits:
? Conductors capable of carrying the harmonic currents of non-linear
loads without exceeding the temperature rating of the insulation system.
? A transformer design that takes into account the increase in naturally
occurring stray losses caused by non-linear loads. These losses cause
standard transformers to dramatically overheat and substantially
shorten design life.
? A core and coil design that manages the DC flux caused by triplen
harmonics*. As these harmonics increase, they cause additional current
to circulate in the delta winding. This produces a DC flux in the core which
leads to core saturation voltage instability and overheating.
Triplen harmonics are those harmonics which are odd multiples of third
harmonic (9th, 15th, 21st, etc.)

Power Saver
A Power Saver is a device which you plug into your power socket. Apparently just
by keeping the device connected it will immediately reduce your power
consumption. Typical claims are savings between 25% and 40% depending upon
the application.
Electricity is not stable. When electricity flows the voltage can rise and fall all the
time. The rise in voltage is known as 'spikes' and they cannot be used by your
appliances at all. All these spikes do is waste your electricity. These power spikes
also convert electrical energy into heat energy which leaks power from your
circuit. Not only will that but the heat also does long-term damage to your wiring
and to your appliances.
There are a few Power Saver models on the market but they all work along the
same principle. They store the electricity inside of it using a system of capacitors
and they release it in a smoother way to normal without the spikes. The systems

UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY

An uninterruptible power supply, also uninterruptible power source, UPS or
battery/flywheel backup is an electrical apparatus that provides emergency
power to a load when the input power source, typically mains power, fails. A UPS
differs from an auxiliary or emergency power system or standby generator in that
it will provide near-instantaneous protection from input power interruptions, by
supplying energy stored in batteries or a flywheel. The on-battery runtime of
most uninterruptible power sources is relatively short (only a few minutes) but

Railway Traction & OHE Works
Transmission Lines Upto 765 kV CLASS
Servomax has developed complete capability of Railway OHE Works and
executed number of new works and modified existing lines, replacement of
cantilever assemblies in difficult terrain.
Servomax having a decent experience in Railway Electrification works. We have
comprehensive edifice of Railway Electrification works like survey, design,
supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 25KV OHE(Overhead
equipments), Traction Sub-stations and Switching Stations. Having excellent
technical crew from Design & execution front, we are one of the approved
contractor in Indian Railways.
We are executing number of projects for CORE (Central Organisation for Railway
Electrification), Allahabad, South Central Railways, Southern Railways & East
Coast Railways.
We have experience of over 60TKM of new Electrification works, Replacement of
contact wires, Catenary wire, Cantilevers and critical modifications, OHE works
at Major Station Yards.

We have won an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) work order

valued at INR2.08 billion from MARG Limited & Bhavnagar Energy Company
Limited, or BECL, in Gujarat. The work order includes a Sea Water Intake
Protection Bund, Sea Water Collection Pond, Outfall GRP Pipeline Deep into Sea,
Pumping Sea Water to Plant Circulating Water System for the 2 X 250MW Lignite
Based Thermal Power Plant at Padva, Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India.
The scope of work includes the challenging work of laying Submarine Pipeline of
5 KM in the roughest sea of Gulf of Cambay, Diffuser, Critical Marine Protection
Bund, Sea Water Storage Pond, Sea Water Pump House, Intake and outfall of Sea
Water From Pump House to Power Plant, Sea related Civil Structures, Pumping
Stations, Onshore & Offshore Pipelines (more than 15Km Pipeline), Substations,
Transmission Lines and Circulating Water Tank with Pump house, all internal
Pipeline of Power plant from Cooling Towers, recirculation water system, outfall
chamber and water channels. The time frame for completion of the project is 24
months
