Coaching Resumes
Hi All. Saturday morning Gaelic football coaching for kids ages 5 to
10 years resumes in Oxfield on Saturday February 28th.
This is an ideal opportunity for kids to develop their skills, improve
their physical fitness and enhance friendships. Its also a great
opportunity for parents to meet others from the local community.
As always, new kids are very welcome. Session details are shown
below along with contact details of the coordinating Coaches:
The above registration covers you/your child for all of 2015. The
monies raised by registration go towards running the club, which
includes player insurance, purchase of equipment, pitch
maintenance etc. Did you know that it costs over 50,000 to run a
typical GAA club the size of ours?
Girls U10s & U12s (born 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2006)
- Oxfield, Saturdays, 12 noon to 1:00pm (1 hr)
-
On Very Wet Days: Kids who wear boots should also bring
runners in case the session has to be moved indoors (younger
age groups mainly).
On Cold Days: Kids should wear gloves and a warm long sleeve
top (e.g. thermal under-armour, tracksuit top, etc).
Player Registration
A Registration morning for 2015 will take place for all players and
supporters on Saturday February 21st in Oxfield from 10am to 1pm.
A registration evening will also be held in Rosses Point School Hall
on Wednesday February 25th from 7pm to 8:30pm. We encourage
parents and any of our loyal supporters to become members for
2015, to get involved, to be part of a vibrant community, and to help
the Club develop.

Parent Participation
The future is very bright for our Club. Last year the Club had the
highest number of kids registered in County Sligo. For this reason
the Club and coaches would welcome as many mums and dads as
possible to help out at coaching sessions. The more parents, the
better the session for everyone, and especially for the kids. You do
not need to have played Gaelic games or any sport for that matter in
order to help out. Training will also be provided if required. So if any
parents are available to give a hand (no extended commitment
required) please let your coach know. It will be one of the most
rewarding things you will do with your weekend!
By the way, the Club is also establishing a new Bord na ng
(committee to look after matters relating to juvenile and under age
structure of the club). The Chairperson will be Shane Campbell, and
the intention is that he will be joined by other parents representing
boys teams, girls teams, and hurling teams. So if you are not keen
on the coaching side but would like to give a help out on the
administration side, please contact Shane on 087 9086673.
