Colours - The colours used on this page

follow the house style and


branding of Kerrang magazines.
All the colours tend to be very
bold and stand out, mostly red,
black and white. The red is a
signifier with danger, revealing
the rebellious and edgy side to

the left whereas the text has been

rule of third layout as the main image is set up
for the main focus of the image to be in the
middle. It also follows the guidelines of the
image being on the left hand side of the page
which is familiar is many other magazines.

double page spread denotes the lifestyle
of this particular artist of the genre rock
being mysterious like the woods.
However it has mainly been used to
reinforce the Halloween issue.

of address as they are directly

makes the reader feel as they

his hand. This denotes the genre of music, being rebellious
and the issue being halloween. The main image is placed
differently to most other magazines. This magazine clearly on one
side of the magazine which is unusual, however the
background still does follow through the other side but subtle
so the font is still readable for the audience.

Font and typography - The front of the


main image is easy to read and quite big
as it takes up almost a quarter of the
page bringing instant attention towards it.
Each word is on a slight tilt creating a
disorganised and chaotic atmosphere;
however this conforms to the genre of
the magazine. The colour red reinforces
the Halloween issue as it connotes with
