Proposal for the Student Internship Affiliation Report

Title of the Report:
An Internship Affiliation Report on Functions of General Banking system of
United Commercial Bank Limited, Gazipur Branch.

Rationale for Selecting the Report:

This is the last part of BBA program. As a graduated, it is essential to fulfill all the requirements
of the program demand. Only after preparing & submitting the report of this program becomes
completed. Internship is highly needed to gain practical idea, knowledge and experience. I have
selected General Banking of United Commercial Bank Limited as my topic.
United Commercial Bank Limited has discovered a new horizon in the field of banking area
which offers different General Banking, Investments, foreign exchange, Information Technology
and HRD (Human Resource Development) banking system. General Banking is the heart of
Banking. Here money collection procedure occurs. Other services like cheque encashment,
account transfer, account opening, account closing, bills and remittance are provided here. So
general banking section is the life blood in banking service. So I have decided to study on the
topic functions of General Banking. And I am really interested to prepare the report on Functions
of General Banking of United Commercial Bank Limited.

Background (Description of the Organization/Company):

UCB started its operation in mid-1983 and has since been able to establish the largest network
among the first generation banks in the private sector.
With its firm commitment to the economic development of the country, the Bank has already
made a distinct mark in the realm of Private Sector Banking through personalized service,
innovative practices, dynamic approach and efficient Management. The Bank, aiming to play a
leading role in the economic activities of the country, is firmly engaged in the development of
trade, commerce and industry through a creative credit policy.

Objectives:
The broad objective of this report is to show the functions of general banking of United
Commercial Bank Limited perspective.

Specific Objective:

Specific objective of the study is to analyze Banking Activities of United Commercial Bank
Limited
To know about the different scheme like (Saving account, Current deposit account, Fixed
deposit account etc.) policy, procedures of United Commercial Bank Limited.
To experience total procedure of United Commercial Bank Limited in general banking.
To learns about the clearance of internal and external cheques.
To identify the existing problems and difficulties about general banking activities.
