AGENDA 1: CHAIRPERSON WELCOMING SPEECH

1.1

Meeting opened with Al-Fatihah recital.

1.2

The chairperson thanked everyone present for the meeting (Remark: All English
teachers).

1.3

He welcomed and thanked Mr. Syazani Amin for willingly teaching English Year 4
for this year.

AGENDA 2: SENIOR ASSISTANTS SPEECH

2.1

Pn. Junidah thanked the teachers for their commitment shown throughout 2013. She
hoped that teachers will continue to give their best to improve students proficiency
and performance in English

2.2

She also thanked Mr. Syazani Amin for joining the English Panel for 2014.

AGENDA 3: CONFIRMATION OF THE PREVIOUS MINUTES

3.1

Previous minutes was proposed by Mr Syazani Amin b. Mohd Noor and supported by.
Mr. Md Rahimi b. Mohd Kamarul Al Salam.

AGENDA 4: ARISING MATTERS

4.1

KSSR: Mr. Dali Moktar reminded all teachers to always strive for the realization of
MBMMBI policy and try to incorporate elements of language art in the classroom. He
reminded Mr. Md Rahimi and Mr Syazani Amin about some changes in KSSR English
Year 4 (Language Art & Evaluation). He suggested them to seek guidance from Miss
Nur Azhani if they come across any problem. The in-house training for KSSR English
Year 4 will be conducted by Miss Nur Azhani after the meeting

4.2

UPSR: Mr. Dali informed teachers on the 2013 UPSRs result for English. 6 pupils
managed to get A while 5 pupils did not pass the subject. Therefore, the GPM for
English had shown some decrease which is as compared to 2012, . Miss Nur Azhani
mentioned that the decreased results in English most probably from the result of pupils
did not score in Paper 1. As such, for the UPSR 2014, the exercise for both Paper 1
and Paper 2 will be balanced.

4.4

LINUS: Miss Nur Azhani informed all teachers about the LINUS screening 2 which
was held last year. For the second screening, only 7 pupils didnt pass the screening
test. From 7 of them, only Shahida didnt pass the K1-K2 constructs. More attention
will be given to her and others.

AGENDA 5: SCHEME OF WORK/LESSON PLAN

5.1

Scheme of Work: Mr. Dali requested that teacher for each year to submit SOW to him
to be included in the English panels files.

5.2

Lesson plans: Panel has decided to use this format for the lesson plans write up.

SCHOOL BASED ORAL ASSESSMENT

6.1

Teachers must carry out the oral test at least once in year.

6.2

The carried out assessment must be filled in the forms accordingly.

OTHER MATTERS
5.1

The teachers were advised to carry out all of the activities successfully.
