Information and instructions
This CD-Rom contains 30 arrangements for brass quintet of popular Classical music. All files
are in PDF format. To open and print your music, you will need a PDF viewer such as Adobe
Reader (available free from www.adobe.com), or Apples Preview. If you already have a PDF
viewer installed, the files should open automatically.
For each arrangement, you will find 9 instrumental parts.
The first five are for the standard brass quintet instruments:
- 1st and 2nd Trumpets in Bb
- French Horn in F
- Trombone in C (bass clef)
- Tuba in C (bass clef).
Parts are also included for:
- Tenor Horn in Eb (as an alternative to the French Horn part)
- Trombone in Bb (treble clef - this part is also suitable for Euphonium)
- Bass in Eb and Bass in Bb (both treble clef, as alternatives to the Tuba part).
Five-part scores are also included for each item.
As such, these arrangements can be played by a variety of combinations of instruments. Also,
assuming there is a balance in number of players per part, they will be perfectly suited to performance by larger ensembles.
Printing Instructions
When printing, you have two options:

to print a complete set of 30 pieces for one instrument, go to the folder named
Instrumental Parts and select the relevant instrument.

to print a complete set of parts and a full score for one particular arrangement, go to the
folder named Scores and Parts by title and select the relevant piece of music.

All of the music arranged is in the Public Domain. However, the arrangements themselves are
subject to the usual copyright laws, and may not be copied or distributed without permission
from the copyright owner.

equivalent.
