quality of panels. Production of panels is under formal quality
assurance procedures certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2000.
R yowo GRP Sectional Storage Tanks fulfil the requirements of
Chinese National Standard GB 5749-85: Sanitary Standard for
Drinking Water and British Standard BS 6920: 1996: Suitability of
non-metallic products for use in contact with water intended for human
consumption with regards to their effect on the quality of water . They
were awarded the license for potable water supply equipment and
protection material of PRC Beijing. Panels were certified by
Beijing Sanitation and Epidemic Prevention Bureau . An approval
by Office of the Water Anthority Department of Hong Kong was
acquired.

W ith a minimum glass content of 27% by weight, the panels of Ryowo GRP
Sectional Storage Tanks are manufactured by hot press moulded process using
Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC) which is a type of Glassfibre Reinforced
Plastics, GRP ( or Fibreglass Reinforced Plastics,FRP) Under controlled
manufacturing conditions, panels are pressed at pressure over 1500 tons at a
temperature of up to 150 o C.
M aterials for the construction are based on a liquid unsaturated polyester resin
in combination with fibreglass and comply with Chinese National Standard GB/T
8237-8 7: Liquid Unsaturated Polyester Resin for Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastics, and
Chinese Building Materials Industry Standard JC/T 277-94: Glass Fiber Roving ,
respectively.
