Worked in multi-national teams for acoustically designing the canopy of commercial generator sets
Helped company in designing canopies in-house rather than outsourcing; reduced cost of insulation by 50%
Suggestions were successfully implemented in the ongoing Chiyoda Singapore Ltd. project
Extended a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) for significant contribution to the organisation
San Diego State University, California, USA (May, 2010 - July, 2010) :
The project was funded by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration, USA)
Successfully carried out numerical simulation of flame spread over solid fuels under different gravity levels
Results accepted and to be used by NASA in increasing the fire safety of spacecraft
Co-authored a paper "Opposed Flow Flame Spread and Extinction in a Microgravity Environment",
presented in the Eighth Asia-Pacific Conference on Combustion (ASPACC-10)

Study of High Knudsen Number Flows in Micro-channels, BTP Thesis (July, 2011 - Present) :
Pioneer research in the field of flows through micro-channels for applications in electronic chip cooling,
biomedical solutions, heat exchangers and Micro Electrical Mechanical Systems (MEMS)
Using Lattice Boltzmann Method to model the flow and validating the results through experiments
Study of Convective Heat Transfer through Micro-channels, IIT Delhi (July, 2010 - Nov, 2010) :
Studied heat transfer characteristics of various coolants using both theoretical modelling and experimentation
for application in laptop chip cooling, electronic gadgets and biomedical solutions
Suggested the most suitable coolant for micro heat-sinks based on convective heat transfer coefficient values
Co-authored a paper titled "Study of effect of mass flow rate and heat flux on heat transfer coefficient of
fluids in microchannels", 12th International Conference on Heat Transfer, United Kingdom
