Use
ThereplicationofbusinesspartnerandbusinessagreementiscarriedoutbytheCRMstandard.For
informationonthenecessarysettingsseetheSetUpandLoadGuideforBusinessAgreement/Contract
AccountandtheSetUpandLoadGuideforBusinessPartnerRelationships/Roles.
TheISUmasterdatageneratorplaysanimportantroleinthereplicationoftechnicalobjects(connection
object,premise,pointofdelivery)fromSAPCRMtoSAPISU:
TechnicalobjectssuchaspointsofdeliverymustbereplicatedfromSAPCRMintoSAPISU.
MasterdatatemplateswiththetemplatecategoryCRMTECHOBJareusedforthispurpose.
DuringthereplicationoftheCRMcontractitems,contractsmustbecreatedinSAPISU,among
otherthings.ThesedatachangesaremadeinSAPISUwithmasterdatatemplatesofthecategory
CRMNEWCONTRACT.
YoumaintainmasterdatatemplatesinCustomizingfor SAPUtilities ,under CustomerService
MasterData Generator DefineMasterDataTemplates .
CRMNEWCONTRACTiscurrentlytheonlytemplatecategorytowhichyoucanassignaCRMproduct.
Whenyoucreateamasterdatatemplatewiththiscategory,youmustenteraCRMsupplyproduct,
suitedforcontractitems,intheheaderdata.WhenyoucreateacontractiteminSAPCRM,themaster
datatemplatethatcarriesouttherespectivemasterdatachangesinSAPISUisidentifiedbymeansof
theCRMutilityproduct.Thismeans,thereisacloserelationshipbetweentheCRMproductandthe
respectivemasterdatatemplate,whichyoumustconsiderwhencreatingthemasterdatatemplate.

YoucreatetheutilityproductFAMILYinCRM.ISUcontractsbelongingtothisproduct
mustbebilledwiththerate1000.
Therefore,youcreateamasterdatatemplateinSAPISUwiththecategory
CRMNEWCONTRACT,towhichyouallocatetheCRMproductFAMILY.Inthe
installationnode(INSTALLATION)ofthemasterdatatemplate,youentertheconstant
valueR1000fortheratecategory.Thenthisratecategoryisusedfortheutility
installationinSAPISUandensuresthatthecustomerisbilledwithrate1000.

ParametersforKeyFields
Themasterdatatemplatecontains,amongotherthings,anodefortheconnectionobject.Thisnode
containstheHAUSattributeforthekeyoftheconnectionobject.Withthiskey,youmustselectthe
Supply Parameters .TheHOUSEattributenameisproposedasparametername.Youcanusethis
parameternameorchooseanothername.Withthecontractreplication,theparameterisautomatically
populatedwiththekeyoftheconnectionobject.Thenameoftheparameterisirrelevant.Thisis
possiblesincethecontractreplicationassumesthatthetechnicalobjectssuchasconnectionobject,
andsoon,havealreadybeencreated.Forthisreason,thenodes ConnectionObject , Premise and
P ointofDelivery onlycontainattributesforthekeyfields.Intotal,theparametersforthefollowing
attributesareautomaticallysuppliedduringthecontractreplication:

Afteraproducthasbeenassignedtothetemplate,theinputhelp(F4)isavailableintheprocessing
modeofthetemplate.Whenassigningaparametertoanattribute,youcanrequestthenameofthe
parameterfromtheinputhelp.
IftheCRMsupplyproductisconfigurable,thevaluesfromthePMEconfigurationandthelean
configurationarealsoavailableintherespectivemasterdatatemplate.Whenyoumaintainthe
parameternames,youcanusetheinputhelpintheconfigurationtofindthenames.
Youmustdefine,towhichnodeandtowhichattributeavalueistobetransferredfromtheconfiguration
parameters.

Youaredefiningaconfigurableattributewithadiscountfactor.Youactivatean
installationfact nodeoftheoperandcategoryFACTORinthemasterdatatemplate.In
thisnode,youselectthesupplyasaparameterfortheattributeFACTORandspecify
thenamefromtheconfigurationoftheattributeasparametername.Usetheinputhelp
fortheselection.

However,thesearenotautomaticallypopulatedwithvalues.Toassignvaluestotheseattributes,you
mustusetheBAPIsECRM_CRM_UPLOADorECRM_CRM_DOWNLOAD.

StatusofaMasterDataTemplate
Thestatusofthemasterdatatemplateisdisplayedinthe HeaderData tabpageofthetemplate.The
possibleinstancesdependonthecategoryofthemasterdatatemplate.Thestatusesaremaintainedvia
themenubar MasterDataTemplate ChangeStatus orbyusingthe button.Thetemplatescan
onlyrunthroughthestatusesinadefinedsequence(ActiveReleasedObsolete).
Undefined(blank):
Thetemplateisinanundefinedstatusandcanbedeletedwithoutanyproblems.
Activevoice:
Thetemplateisinprocess.Noproductiveuseispossible.
Released:
Thetemplateisinproductiveuse:TheCRMproductofthetemplatecannotbeusedinanothertemplate.
Obsolete:
Thetemplateisonlyneededforthedocumentation.Activeuseisnolongerpossible.Youcanassign
theCRMproducttoanothertemplate.

CRMProductintheMasterDataTemplate
Whenyouprocessatemplate,afieldisdisplayedinaccordancewiththetemplatecategoryinthe
headerofthetemplate,inwhichtheinputhelpprovidestherespectiveCRM/ISUproduct.The
productsareautomaticallyretrievedandprovidedwiththeinputhelpfromtheCRMsystemassignedin
Customizing.Inthiscase,onlytheISUproductsareprovided,whichhavenotyetbeenassignedtoa
masterdatatemplate.Productsthatarein obsolete templatesare,however,providedagain(seethe
sectionStatusofaMasterDataTemplate).Duringtheassignmentoftheproducttothetemplate,the
parametersoftheproductareenteredintheheaderofthetemplateandprovidedforlaterconfiguration.
Ifyouhavealreadymaintainedaparameterinthetemplate,thesystemusesthesamenametoassign
theinternalparameterstotheproductparameters.Basicallytheprocessingofthetemplateiseasierif
theproductisenteredfirst,sincefromthenontheproductparameterscanbeassignedtothetemplate
bymeansoftheinputhelp.

Ifrequired,wecanextendourmasterdatatemplatecategories,addattributes,ordeleteorchangethe
attributesofnodesforthetemplatecategory.Thesystemautomaticallycomparesthecategoryand
templatetoensurethatthechangesaretakenintoaccountinallthetemplatestobeprocessed.
Assoonasyoucallamasterdatatemplateinprocessingmode(canonlyoccurinthestatus
Undefined or InProcess ),themasterdatatemplateisautomaticallycomparedwiththemasterdata
templatecategoryandchanged.Thisensuresthatchangestothemasterdatatemplatecategories
deliveredbySAPareincorporatedinalltemplatesthatarenotinproductionyet.However,youstillhave
tosavethischange.Assoonasyoucallupthemasterdatatemplateinthechangemode,the
comparisontakesplace.Youarethenrequestedtosavethechanges,althoughyoumightnothave
madeanychangestothetemplate.Ifthishappens,thecategoryofthetemplatehaschanged.Accept
thesechanges.Otherwise,incompatibilitiescanariseandthetemplatecanbecomeunusable.
