Details
The project deals with design of clutter removal technique based on IIR (Infinite
Impulse Response) filter for Doppler RADAR (Radio Detection and Ranging). This
technique is widely used in weather RADAR Systems. This filter (IIR) is used in RADAR
where the received signal has to be filtered out to extract the required information. In
this project, the filter design and simulation has been emphasized. A suitable filter has
been first chosen, for the necessary specification after a thorough study of various
filters.

In this project we designed two instruments named multimeter and oscilloscope. We
came to the conclusion that using Labview we can make a virtual lab i.e. any
instrument can be designed using Labview and minimize the time required to
implement the instrumentation system. A measuring instrument laboratory can be
made virtual using Labview and measurement and control can be done remotely over
internet. An intensive work is being carried out on this topic at IIT Guwahati.

Details

In this project we did fingerprint recognition with the help of a feature of finger
named minutiae. Fingerprint recognition is a method to identify or verify a person for
confirmation of his identity. A Fingerprint Recognition system consists of image
acquiring, Fingerprint Images processing and analyzing the feature and comparing
them with another. In this project work minutiae based fingerprint matching
technique has been developed for the verification of a person and record his finger
features. Entire system is developed with MATLAB software running at the other end.
The developed application with back-end application software provides following
solution regarding fingerprint.
