THIRST THEATER: THE RETURN

PERFORMERS

Sasha Andreev is honored to work with so many talented people in his first time with Thirst. In his
five years in the Twin Cities, stage credits include shows at the Guthrie, Theatre de la Jeune Lune,
Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Mized Blood, and many more. Sasha also hosted the popular HGTV
series “Curb Appeal.” See him in Rock’n’Roll at Park Square Theater through February 7th.

Patrick Bailey has appeared locally at the Jungle Theater, Frank Theatre, Park Square Theatre, and
Commonweal Theatre. He has performed in the UK with Latchmere, National Theatre, Library
Theatre, and Royal Shakespeare Company. Film and TV credits include Piece Of Cake, Coronation
Street, Campion, The Bill, Alan Bennett's One Fine Day, and Souvenir. Training: LAMDA.

Sam Bardwell has been seen around town at the Guthrie, the Jungle Theater, the Playwright's Center,
and Emigrant Theater. Out-of-town credits include seasons with Georgia Shakespeare and Door
Shakespeare. Sam is a graduate of the U of MN/Guthrie acting program.

Stephen Cartmell is extremely excited to be performing again with Thirst theater Company. Locally
Stephen has performed with The Jungle theater, The Guthrie, Eye of the Storm, Mary Worth, Park
Square, Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop as well as 12 seasons with the sorely missed Theater de
la jeune lune. He was last seen at in The Jungle theaters production of Shipwrecked this past Summer
but his biggest role to date is being the real life husband to his brand new wife, fellow Thirst actor,
Maggie Chestovich.

Maggie Chestovich is thrilled to be back at Joe’s with Thirst! She has also worked with the Guthrie,
the Jungle, Jeune Lune, Children’s Theatre, and the Playwrights’ Center, among others. and Ten
Thousand Things, where she is a member of their Artists’ Core. She was seen last summer at the
Guthrie in When We Are Married and was married herself, in December, to fellow Thirst actor,
Stephen Cartmell.
Bob Davis was born in Santa Barbara, CA, in the mid – 20th Century. He attended elementary school
in Connecticut and Utah, middle school in Fresno, high school in Pasadena, and college in Claremont,
CA. Since moving to Minneapolis in 1983, he has done a lot of plays and raised three sons. He can be
seen in the locally filmed motion pictures: Nobody, Herman USA, Trauma, and A Simple Plan. A few
years ago he was awarded a McKnight Theater Artist Fellowship.

Mary Alette Davis began acting at age 12 with the Old Log Theater. Since then, she has acted with
Ten Thousand Things, the History Theater, Frank Theater, At the Foot of the Mountain, and on tour
with the Guthrie. After acting in Los Angeles and elsewhere, she returned to Minneapolis to raise a
family. With her husband Bob, she founded Brazil! School of the Arts, a creative arts venue for South
Minneapolis youth known for its Shakespeare Camp.

Paul De Cordova

Charles Fraser has performed in the Twin Cities with the Guthrie Theater, Theatre de la Jeune Lune,
Park Square Theatre, History Theatre, and Illusion Theatre, among many others. He has also
performed in Mississippi, Indiana, aboard Disney Cruse Lines, and in a variety of commercial and film
work.

Peter Christian Hansen has appeared onstage with the Guthrie, Ten Thousand Things, Provincetown
(MA) Tennessee Williams Festival, Jon Hassler Theatre, Theatre l’Homme Dieu, Park Square, MN
Jewish Theatre, MN Playwrights’ Center, and many more. He has directed for Gremlin Theatre, MN
Fringe Festival, and area high schools. He has served as Gremlin Theatre Artistic Director since 1998,
and Bloomington Civic Theatre Executive Director, 2006-2008.

Terry Hempleman has appeared at the Guthrie, CTC, the Jungle, Ten Thousand Things, Eye of The
Storm, Park Square Theater, and in THIRST. In 2005 he produced, designed, and acted in American
Sublime and directed Why Actors Can’t Love at the MN Fringe Festival. He was City Pages’ 2003
“Best Actor in the Twin Cities.” Film credits include Drop Dead Gorgeous and Factotem.

Alayne Hopkins recently appeared in Mary's Wedding (Mary) at the Jungle Theater and in Girl Friday
Productions' The Skin of Our Teeth (Sabina). Other performances include, also with Girl Friday
Productions: An Empty Plate in the Café du Grand Boeuf (Mimi); Park Square Theatre: Agnes of God
(Agnes), The Triumph of Love (Princess Leonide), Noises Off (Poppy Norton-Taylor), The Glass
Menagerie (Laura), Communicating Doors (Poopay/Phoebe), The Last Night of Ballyhoo (Lala); Ten
Thousand Things: Red Noses (Marguerite); Frank Theater: Adventures of Herculina (Sara); History

Michelle Hutchison is an original member of the Thirst Theatre tribe, and thrilled to be back. She has
appeared recently at Hennepin Stages Theatre for Actor’s Theatre of MN, History Theatre, Mixed
Blood, the Guthrie Theatre, Theatre Latte Da, MN Fringe Festival, and has appeared onstage in Los
Angeles. Michelle has deep roots in improv and several film credits.

Catherine Johnson Justice is thrilled to be a part of the 2010 rebirth of Thirst. Other local
appearances include productions with the Guthrie, Ten Thousand Things, Theatre de la Jeune Lune,
and the Jungle, among others. She has appeared in many films and is a graduate of the Royal
Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

Ann Kim has worked extensively as an actor and teaching artist in a variety of theaters including the
Guthrie, The Children's Theatre Company, Mixed Blood, Frank Theatre and Mu Performing Arts. She
most recently served as the Director of Education & Community Engagement at Hennepin Theatre Trust.
Ann is a certified pizzaiolo and is currently working on opening her first restaurant, an artisan
pizzeria/wine bar by summer 2010.

Amy McDonald’s favorite performances have been at the Guthrie, the Jungle, the Illusion Theater,
and the History Theater. She has appeared in local and regional theaters, the film Joe Somebody, and
recurring television roles. She teaches at SPCPA and for the Guthrie. She holds a Bachelor of Music
from the University of Iowa and an MFA in Acting from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Zoe Pappas has worked professionally around the Twin Cities for 12 years. Her theater credits include
Ordway Center, Pantages Theater, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Theater Latte Da, Eye of the Storm,
Guthrie Theater, History Theatre, and Children’s Theater Company, among others. Currently, Zoe is

Carolyn Pool is pleased to be back at Joe's with Thirst Theater. She recently performed at Park
Square Theater and Illusion Theater. Her two-woman show sold out its 2009 Fringe Festival run. She
has also appeared at Workhaus Collective, and Gremlin Theater. Carolyn can also be seen in the
recently released films "Good Morning" and "Midnight". Her next project is Dead Man's Cell Phone
at Park Square.

Aaron Preusse is excited to be back in Minneapolis after spending the past seven years on Chicago
theater circuit. He recently completed filming Statue of David and is co-creator of An Evening of
Experimental Repertory, a jazz/theater hybrid. Regional credits include: Berkeley Repertory, Idaho
Shakespeare Festival, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Park Square Theatre and the Children’s Theatre
Company.

John Skelly

Payton J. Woodson most recently worked with Mixedblood Theatre in Ruined. As company
member of Pillsbury House Theatre he was seen in Home, directed by the acclaimed Marion
McClinton. . Payton is looking forward to his return to Thirst where he performed with one of
his favorite energies, Carolyn Pool, in Strange Ailment, written by Stacey Parshall.

Phyllis Wright, is an actress and comedian and has performed at many llustrious theaters in the twin
cities including Lee Adam's Mystery Cafe, Martini and Olive,Frank Theater,Illusion Theater, the
Guthrie and Mixed Blood. She has also performed comedy at many TCities comedy clubs, Dudley
Riggs Theater, The Walker Art Center,St Kates opening for Hunter S.Thompson and at The WestBank
Cafe hosted by Lewis Black.She has also done comedy at Catch a Rising Star NY,and The Chicago
Comedy Showcase The Second City.She is 5'3" and likes to tell people she weighs 120 pounds.
