CEMENT SC 4000

Areas of application
When used in conjunction with hardener E 40,
REMA TIP TOP CEMENT SC 4000 is a
trichloroethylene-free 2-component adhesive
for universal use in adhesive bonding including:

Rubber - rubber
Rubber - fabric
Fabric - fabric
Rubber - metal

and other materials such as concrete or wood.

CEMENT SC 4000 has proven to be of
particular value when used for jointings subjected to high static and dynamic loads like
the splicing of coveyor belts with fabric
reinforcements.

2-component adhesive CEMENT SC 4000 + E 40 hardener to be

ordered seperately; for bonding on metal surfaces apply 1 coat of
Metal Primer PR 200

Drum sizes

CEMENT SC 4000: 0.35 kg, 0.7 kg, 4.5 kg, 9.0 kg and 190 kg
Hardener E 40: 15 g and 30 g

Notes on application
Mixing

The quantity of CEMENT SC 4000 adhesive needed is carefully

mixed with around 4% E 40 hardener

Workability/Pot life

The mixture must be applied within 2 hours after mixing the

two components

Contact adhesion time/Open time

Let the first coat dry out completely (minimum 30 minutes, on

metal minimum 1 hour);
Join substrates when the second coat is still slightly tacky (check
with the back of your finger).

Number of coats

On metal, roughened rubber and fabric: 2 coats;

on CN bonding layer: 1 coat

Quantity used per coat

On metal or CN bonding layer: approx. 200 g/m

On roughened rubber: approx. 300 g/m
On fabric: approx. 400 g/m
