Prepare to Fly!

A young woman sat on a park bench over lunch. And while she sat there she noticed a butterfly trying to
come out of its cocoon. She watched it struggle and struggle for more than an hour. Eventually feeling
sorry for it she reached for a small scissors, and gently used it to clip open the cocoon. To her surprise
the butterfly that was released did not fly away it just sat there totally crippled. You see, what she did not
realise was that the struggle a butterfly goes through, is what pumps blood into its wings so that it may
be able to fly!
Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.
The eagle is an unusual bird, because it has mustered the ability to fly into a storm. It "mounts" strong
winds as though it is going up a staircase. It is the only bird that you will find flying during a storm. This
year, 2014, approach life with the majesty of an eagle! Do not be afraid of headwinds or opposition; use
them; mount them like stairs for your success! The word "wait upon" comes from the Hebrew word,
"qawah", which denotes, someone who is "serving" as they wait. It is an active process and not passive.
You might be struggling to get a job; you might be struggling to make your finances work; you might be
struggling to fund your education; you might be struggling to make a small business successful; you
might be struggling to get ahead in your job; you might even be going through viscous persecution, that
even threatens your very life. Listen to me; from today, start thinking about it differently! No matter how
dark, no matter how challenging, you are not going under; you are going over...just don't give up!
Happy New Year!

Strive Masiyiwa The year was 1996, our house had been sold in a public auction, our cars...
virtually every physical asset we owned. Several schools had even refused to take our children
into schools for fear of retribution. Friends feared that I would probably be murdered, as threats
came in regularly. I was routinely picked up by the police.... and now the hearing of our court
case for an operating license, would be delayed for almost a year. My opponents, were about to

file papers, to have me declared bankrupt.

As many close friends even begged me to give up, and leave the country. I received a word, from
a visiting evangelist, Bishop Joseph Garlington of the United States, to our home town, who
called out to me in a church service:
"Young man, God wants me to tell you, that you are standing in a river of faith, these waves you
are seeing, they are not going to drown you."
"Come let us sing:
....I am standing in a river of faith; I am not going under, but I am going over, by faith!"
The hall erupted, 1000 young Christians began, to sing and dance.
You might be too young to know some of these things, but ask some of your parents, and they
will tell you of those days, in which my faith, was forged in a crucible of fire: faith abides (it
never, ever fails).
Br Strive Masiyiwa

Abraham Light Glory Thank you blessed one Mr Strive Masiyiwa. This is inspiring to know that
the buttefly becomes stronger by all this seeming struggles than what we could have imagined.
Sometimes, in life, all this challenges we have gone through, appear to be vital. As staircase they
only help us gain experience, confidence and patience, while our eyes are focused on the Greater
Light, Jesus.
No wonder the bible admonished us to not lose heart in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NIV) "Therefore
we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being
renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory
that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since
what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal".
There is always a time of preparation, no matter what is the area in wich we want to be
successful. knowledge makes free. The challenge someone may be going through right now, is
only the reflection of some dark area upon which he need to bring-in light. Lets go for
knowledge, and let's acquired anderstanding. All things work together for our Good.

Grace Gangata Chingwe Thats powerful Dr M, i'm reminded of the message Pst Chris shared on
the exalted, higher life. Where one has got to look at things from a higher life. From the womans'
point of view the butterfly was helpless, what looked like a helpless struggle was a necessary
process for the butterfly. People might look at you and decide to deduce that you are struggling
yet in the EYES of the FATHER You going through a preparatory stage for what lies ahead. It is
high time that as individuals we dwell on things that can not be seen that are permanant and shut
our ears from the words of sympathy which people will shower our way, for the sole purpose of
distracting us. Whether sympathetic words that bring folly are said advertently or inadvertently is
another issue. But in this case Dr M is urging us to stand tall and face whatever huddle we find
in our way. This is mind blowing as i continue to ponder on this butterfly issue and the "act of
sympathy displayed by the woman in this context", there is great need for an individual to have
personal revelation which Prof E.H Guti urgues people to have. Revelation will enable one to
discern that advice being given to him/ her is contructive and befitting, to avoid losing out the
beauty God has intended for one due to following wrong advice
