Boeing Co.

Boeing Co. provides a great opportunity for the students of Fictitious

University to learn and gain experience through an internship program. Boeing is
already an established company and holds very strong market positions in various
business segments. Despite it already being such a success, the company is still
projected to go through significant growth in the near future. Boeing heavily invests
in research and development to fuel their growth and maintain their stronghold on
the market. Their research and development (R&D) is pivotal in creating job
opportunities for graduating college students beginning their careers.

Established
Boeing and its subsidiaries have established themselves as key players in the
design, development, and sales of commercial and military aircrafts. It ranks 84 th in
Forbes Most Valuable Brands as well as in Sales. Interning for an established
company like Boeing gives students a good idea of workplace and industry
standards. With a big company like Boeing, comes the opportunity to travel and
work abroad, Boeing conducts operations in many countries and has a network of
international partners, key suppliers and subcontractors. Students will get the
most out of their internship in an already established company without having to
face the obstacles and struggles of a new, up-and-coming company.

Future Growth
As early as last November, Boeing unveiled a new generation to their 777
aircraft (expected to enter service in 2020), which projects overall company growth
in the very near future. Commercial aviation is primed for incredible growth in a
world where rapid urbanization, development in emerging markets, and aircraft
innovation will play pivotal roles and Boeing stands to be a primary benefactor.
Interns will be able to experience this very exciting period of growth where they will
be able to compete in a global market. They would also be able to prove their worth
in an international company for a possible full-time job that will most likely be
available due to the expected growth in both the industry and the company.

R&D
With a new fleet of aircrafts set be released and an industry projected for
incredible growth, Boeings robust focus on research and development (R&D)
facilitates development of new products, hence creating more jobs. Along with
their new 777 aircraft announcement, Boeing also launched their One Boeing
strategy, where they will streamline their research and development, breaking down
the division between commercial aircraft and defense operations. Missouri was
one of nearly two dozen states to file proposals with the company this week to build
the up-to-$10 billion plant, which could create as many as 8,500 jobs. Boeing is
constantly innovating and creating new jobs, and it is very important that Fictitious
University establish an internship program to capitalize on these opportunities.
