CHRISTMAS

OBJECTIVES:
1. Get students involved into the Christmas holidays by developing
three skills activity (listening, speaking and writing)
2. Evaluates students performance during the activities
development.
3. Increase vocabulary related to Christmas time.
4. Get students interact each other through deductive activities.
5. Develop Pronunciation through techniques.

Teacher elicits students by talking about Christmas and asking

some questions.

So theres a certain month in which we celebrate an important

holiday, in this date we spend so many time with our relatives and we
also usually get gifts and presents.
Who do you usually spend Christmas with?
Do you usually get gifts and presents? Which ones?
PRE - TASK

Teacher develops the Hangman game with students using

three words:

Reindeer
Children
Santa Claus
Christmas tree

LISTENING ACTIVITY

Teacher shares out the lyrics of the song.

He gives them some time to see the pictures and read the text.
Then, we explain them (students) that:

We are going to listen a Christmas song called Jingle Bells. We ask them
to be really attentive to the rythm because we will sing it all together.

Once the song has been listened, they will realize that there are
many words that dont appear in the lyrics.
Teacher will tell students that a little forgetful goblin has lost
them and they have to help him finding these words.
When they have completed the song, we ask them to exchange
their photocopies with a classmate. They try to correct the lyrics
all together. In case of errors: the teacher tries to get students
to self-correct.

SPEAKING ACTIVITY

Teacher tells students that their going to watch a video about a

Christmas story.
Teacher asks students to think about some questions before
playing a video.

Teacher presents a story through a video.

Santa has fallen ill so Hes worried the children wont get gifts but a
surprise awaits him

TEACHER PLAYS THE VIDEO

Teacher asks students to answer the questions previously
presented.

WRITING ACTIVITY

Teacher asks students to set themselves in pairs.

Teacher asks students to create a letter to Santa, asking their

wishes about Christmas.
Teacher chooses a random letter and they have to write and
read at the front.
