Woodmont Book Club Meetings


The WCC Book Club will hold it's
regular March meeting on Tuesday,
March 17th, at 10:30 in Room 232.
Jeanie Taylor will lead a discussion
on L. S. Lewis's book, SURPRISED
BY JOY.Everyone is welcome.
SNOW MAKEUP MEETING
The WCC Book Club will hold its snow
makeup meeting on Tuesday, March
31st, at 10:30 in Room 232. We will
think spring and baseball as Sallye
Galloway leads a discussion of
CALICO JOE by John Grisham. All

This class covers a multitude of themes includinglove, fear, addiction,
recovery, hope, war, peace, and redemption. This week, we are looking at
family, grief and loss in the films A River Runs Through It - 1992,Ghost 1990, andSteel Magnolias - 1989, as well asPsalm 23 and Romans 14:78. If you are a person who finds yourself thinking about these topics
through the lens of faith, come and join us!

Funeral Home and services will be held on Thursday,
March 12th at 12:00 p.m.
The family of Dr. Fred Craddock, a much loved and highly
respected minister of the Christian Church (DOC). Dr.
Craddock preached at Woodmont for the Disciples of
Christ General Assembly held in Nashville in July, 2011.
He passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 and services
were held in Cherry Log, GA on Monday, March 9th.
L.A. Galyon on the passing of his friend, Mike Mullen on
Saturday, March 6th. Funeral services will be held at
Harpeth Hills on Wednesday, March 11th at 1:00 p.m.
Dennis and Cynthia Beck and family on the death of
Dennis' father, John Beck, on Saturday, March 7th.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10th from 5:00 7:00 pm and Wednesday, March 11th from 1:30 - 2:30 pm
at Lawrence Sorensen Funeral Home, 403 East Baltimore
Street, Jackson, TN 38301; with service to follow at 2:30
pm.

CONGRATULATIONS TO:
Dave and Corrie McMahan on the birth of their daughter,
Caroline Anne McMahan, on March 9th in Tyler, TX.
Proud big brother and sister are Parker and Melanie. Other
excited family are grandparents, Roy and Anne Stauffer;
uncle/aunt Clay and Megan Stauffer; uncles John and
Jordan Stauffer.
Wendall Holder and Jenny Dyer Soares who were married
on Saturday, March 7th by Rev. Justin Gung in Lebanon,
TN.
Long-time choir member Shelby Strickland and her
husband Kaley Junkins who were married on Saturday,
March 7th in Orlando, FL.
