FOREWORD
1

This Annual report covers the Financial Year starting 1st july,2013 to 30th june,2014.
The report highlights the activities of the County Executive in each of the ten departments.
The County Executive comprises of the Office of the Governor and the ten departments
namely;

Finance and Economic Planning

Public Service Management

Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries

Roads, Transport and Public Works.

Health Services

Education, Youth, Social Services and Sports

Trade, Industrialization, Cooperatives, Tourism and Wildlife Management

Environment, Energy, Water and Natural Resources

Lands, Housing and Urban Development

Information, Communication Technology and E-Government.

Each department is under a County Executive Committee member(CEC) who is in charge of


formulating Policies for the department The Chief Officer administers the department,
implements the policies and is the Accounting Officer.
Each department has given an elaborate brief of the situation analysis before the period under
review and the current status after one year. It is therefore important that we peruse the report
to appreciate the achievements made.
