The goal of this project is to create knowledge bases with numerical attributes of entities
by automatically extracting such data from unstructured web documents.

Machine learning and information extraction
Given a knowledge base such as Yago or Freebase consisting of entities and relations,
and the Web, our goal is to attach reliable estimates of the frequency of occurrences on
the Web of various entities and relations as singletons, pairs (ordered and unordered) in
a sentence.

Mentor, Institute technical summer project (May 2014 - June 2014), STAB, IIT Bombay
Mentored a team of 2 students towards development of an Android application and supporting
web backend that makes organizing fests easier. Took sessions on server side scripting, Android
application development, version control and UI development.
Co-founder, BVP Linux User Group http://bvplug.org
The group aims at making students aware of the free and open source software. The means used
are install festivals, and a web awareness program to generate interest among students towards
free and open source technologies.

Helped in Organizing Chaos 2011 and Gcon 2012, technical festivals of the society and the Global
Dart Hackathon at BVCOE(April 2012). I wrote an introductory tutorial for the participants and
developed a catalog application using dart, which was used as an example.

I was accepted at the CSA summer school 2012 organized by the Department of Computer Science
and Automation, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. The programme involved a series of
