Platypus
Platypus is aquatic animal. They can be classification as carnivore animal because
they eat meat. Platypus is one of four animals that monotreme mammals. Monotreme is
mammals that lay egg and they can be called poison mammals because they have spur to use
poison their enemy.
Platypus is queer animal. Platypus has beak like duck, membrane foot like duck, and
large flat tail like beaver that use for save spare food and has thick brown fur. The lengths of
platypus are about 20 inches but male platypus three times larger than female platypus and
the weights are about 0.7 kg - 2.4 kg. They can live on 13 20 years.
Platypus like eat yabbies, crayfish, shrimp, and insect larvae. They can eat 13% 28% of their body. They need 12 hours to search their prey. Platypus only lives in the
Australia. Commonly, they live in the river and streams of Tasmania, Australia. But they can
live in land or water.
Platypus belong to lay egg mammals but they breastfeed their baby. They lay around
1 2 eggs. Their egg is as big as coin. They brood their egg about 10 days. After hatch, their
mother will protect their baby until their baby can swim. Platypus marries season about June
August.
Platypus finds their prey in the water. Platypus can dive about 75 times per hour to
find their prey. Platypus is more active in the night then in the afternoon. Platypus has good
eyes, but if they dive in the water, they must to close their eyes. To navigation, they use
electro sensory reception because sensitive and can detection low frequency. Platypus is the
only mammals that can develop electro sensory reception. They can catch their prey quickly.
If they feel in danger, they use their spur is located in the hind foot that are connected with
poison bags that make enemy has serious injured.

Lembah Baliem
Lembah Baliem is a festival which was beginning a tribe war event, such as Dani,
Lani and Yali tribe as a symbol of fertility and prosperity. Lembah Baliem festival takes
place in Wamimena, Papua over three days and held every August is as same as celebration of
the independence Indonesia Republic. This festival was first held in 1989. The speciallity of
this festival begins with a war motive such as kidnapping, murder of children or raids the new
open field. Because of many motives, the other tribes must take revenge, so that the raid was
conducted. This attraction doesnt make revenge or hostility but have positive meaning that,
"Yogotak Hubuluk Motog Hanoro" which means "Expectation for tomorrow must be better
than today". The festival is also celebrated with pigs which cook in the underground, music
and traditional dance of Papua. There are also handmade arts and crafts on display or for sale.
This festival is very unique and amazing.
