The scale of the depicted artefacts varies, but indicated by measurement sticks (for drawings from AK), except
for illustrations from Boye (1896).

Pl. 1. Snder nlv, Grave 8 (No. 19), Hjortkr parish, benr County (AK VI 3028). Dendro-dated to sometime after 1468 BC. - This is
(perhaps) the oldest dendro-dated coffin; the grave-goods display Initial Period II. After AK.

VIII 3820). Dendro-dated to ca. 1389 BC. - The grave inventory
can not be dated per se. After AK.

Pl. 5. Guldhj, Grave C (No. 5), Vamdrup parish, Ribe County (AK
VIII 3820). Dendro-dated likely to 1389 BC. - This grave inventory
of this plundered grave is (likely) Period II. The hooked stick is the
tool of the plunderer, who has used it to collect artefacts from the
coffin through a hole in the lid. After Boye (1896) & AK.

displays a typical Period II inventory for women, no late elements, likely it belongs in the early phase. After Thomsen (1929-35) & AK.

displays both Early and Late Period II, as well as a Central European affiliation (the sword) to a phase traditionally termed Reinecke C2,

Pl. 20. Borum Eshj, Grave C, Borum parish, rhus County (Boye 1892, 58f.; AK XIII, no. not yet given). Not dendro-dated; in secondary
position in the mound in relation to Grave A (No. 2), most likely also to Grave B (No. 2).
By implication, the grave inventory displays Late Period II. However, the relatively high age of the woman at the time of death might indicate

Pl. 25. Skrydstrup (Addendum No. 23), Skrydstrup parish, Haderslev County (AK VII 3527A). Unfortunately, no certain dendro-date has
been obtained.
An old carbon-14 date indicates (late) Period III, as the golden earrings may also do; even the finely woven dress may be late. However, a
late Period II date is probably equally likely, in particular if the two male graves (with late Period II swords) from the same mound were in
fact in a secondary position vis--vis the female interment, or even contemporary with this (AK VIII 3527B & C). After AK & Broholm &
Hald (1939).
