An intelligence quotient, or IQ, is a score derived from one of several standardized designed to assess human
intelligence. The abbreviation "IQ" was coined by the psychologist William Stern for the German term
Intelligenz-quotient, his term for a scoring method for intelligence tests he advocated in a 1912 book.
IQ classification is the practice by IQ test publishers of labeling IQ score ranges with category names such as
"superior" or "average. There are several publishers of IQ tests. No two publishers use exactly the same
classification labels. IQ classification labels have changed from time to time since the beginning of IQ testing in
the early twentieth century.
Critics point out that IQ test dont measure creativity, social skills, wisdom, acquired abilities or a host of other
things we consider to be aspects of intelligence. Although IQ attempts to measure some notion of intelligence, it
may fail to act as an accurate measure of intelligence in its broadest sense. IQ tests only examine particular
areas embodied by the broadest notion of intelligence, failing to account for creation areas which are also
associated with intelligence such as creativity or emotional intelligence.
Borderline intellectual functioning is a condition characterized by cognitive abilities that are lower than
the average, but not at the level of full mental retardation. Patients with this intellectual disability
typically have an intelligence quotient (IQ) score between 70 and 79. They do not usually need
assistance with tasks of daily living. Their impairments tend to be focused on learning and applying
information, especially in areas like abstract and critical thinking. Some people with this condition have
high levels of independence and can acquire an assortment of skills, while others may experience more
difficulty, especially if they live in deprived environments.
Limited trainability. Have difficulty with everyday demands like using a phone book, reading bus or
train schedules, banking, filling out forms, using appliances like a video recorder, microwave oven or
computer, etcetera, and therefore require assistance from relatives or social agencies in the management
of their affairs. Can be employed in simple tasks but require supervision.

1. Hospitable
This is one of the most popular qualities of Filipinos. Foreigners who have gone to the Philippines find
themselves falling in love for their hospitality. It's a different kind of values which already existed
thousands of years ago. Examples of hospitality that they show not only to foreign but also to their
fellow citizens
When one visits a friend's house, they greet them with a very warm welcome. They let their visitor sit
down and prepare them a meal or a snack plus drinks for them. They may not want you leave the house
with an empty stomach. They make sure you had a great time visiting them.
They offer their guest room to their visitors if they're going to spend the night with them.
Meals offered are very special, if not, they make a way to prepare great tasting food that their visitor
wanted to eat.
2. Respectful
This is often observed not just from younger people but also from older ones.
Children respect elders by saying "po" and "opo" which means "yes" when answering their elders.
Children or young adults also show respect by putting their elders hands on their forehead.
Filipinos also show respect at work by making a bow to their employers when they're around.
We may have different religions in different sectors of our country, but what is consistent is that we all
have one strong form of faith. Close Family Ties We enjoy the feeling of having and knowing family
members are around us. From cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents, some families share their homes,
celebrate holidays and lend a hand to relatives when it is needed.
Yes. Filipinos value their families so much that they tend to be so intact.
They go to church and pray together because their religion is important making God as the center of
their life.
They have quality time together especially after a day's work. Just watching television or eating together
is one great quality that they value most.
This is observed when one person has nothing and they tend to share what they have to them.
During special occasions such as birthdays or "fiestas"- a celebration when people from other places
visit your place to celebrate with you, there are lots of foods specially prepared for everyone! It maybe
your friend, family, a friend of your friends or even strangers can gather and they are willing to share
foods.
5. Hardworking
Yes, they are hardworking people to the fact that they are willing to work several time to almost whole
day just to feed their families. That's how Filipinos are.
One example of a hardworking person is a farmer, they earn so little but still they tend to work very hard
for few bucks.
Filipinos always find ways to earn for a living like putting up a small business from their home wherein
they sell foods or other items for the convenient of their neighbors as well.
Men are so sweet and romantic when it comes to love, they will send you flowers, bring you to a very
romantic place, they text you sweet quotes and often tell you how special you are to them.

Women tend to prepare dinner before their husband comes home. They are so loving that they value the
relationship which make them so faithful to their husband. And they will love you for the fullest.
During the times when we dont have the means to accomplish something, we find ingenious ways of
using what we have to solve our problems.
3. Ningas-kugon we start something eagerly but lose momentum and dont tend to finish or reach long-term
goals..
4. Colonial Mentality If something is made in America or of a foreign brand, we think it is of greater quality.
So we buy foreign products more than we would buy locally made products.
5. Bahala Na When helpless, we tend not to act to solve our problems. We usually dont plan ahead, or plan
for contingencies. Instead of covering all our bases, we simply let the fates dictate what will happen.
6.Lack discipline Pollution, traffic rules and following the law are things Filipinos tend to ignore. We like to
sell our wares on the streets, beat the red light and throw our garbage in the wrong places.

what needs to be fixed, or saving money for future expenditures.
