{Introduction}
Color is what captures anyone who sets his foot on Indian subcontinent. The shades paint
a picture of diversity of religions, races and customs. In that sense, India is a land of
tolerance. Jews, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians all have found a home here. This idea of
collective tolerance nestled 500 years ago during leadership of King Akbar (1556). The
proud liberal king Akbar, encouraged diversity of religions in his Kingdom by appointing
nobles and ambassadors without any religious prejudice. He was one of the Greatest
Emperors India ever had.
King Akbar had everything that one could ask for, Power, Respect, and Love from his
people, except a son to continue his dynasty. He prayed day and night for an heir to his
Empire.
Finally, his prayers were answered. Salim was born in August 1569. He grew up to be
just like his father, a charming, proud and strong warrior.
