As an ARC Welder, you will apply the ARC welding process as you fit and tack metal on construction equipment, pipe systems,
automobiles, ships, buildings and bridges. Graduates of this program will be competent in the ARC welding process. Every student

The Combination Welder 3 with Pipe Welding Process certificate program is designed for students seeking competency in 3 welding
processes: ARC, MIG, Flux-Core, and introductory Pipe Welding. Individuals skilled in pipe welding weld assemblies involving processed
piping systems, such as oil, water, natural gas, chemical, and dairy and food product pipelines. See individual welding process
descriptions for a more detailed description of ARC, MIG, and Flux-Core welding processes. Individuals with knowledge in several
processes find greater workforce opportunities, including job opportunities with the trades unions. Every student performs the AWS
D1.1 practical skills test for plates and works towards the ASME IX practical skills test for pipe. Students seeking their AWS and/or ASME
credentials will need to pay additional fees to cover the cost of their qualification exams.
