16th European PhD School: Power

Electronics, Electrical Machines, Energy

Control and Power Systems
Angevin Castle, Gaeta - Italy

16th Edition: May 25-29, 2015

European PhD School was founded in 1999 with the
goal of providing Ph.D. students with the opportunity to
broaden their knowledge in the research areas of Power
Electronics, Electrical Machines and Drives, Power
Systems. Subsequently, the School has gained an
increasing relevance thanks to the participation of highly
qualified international lecturers: in 2009 the School
obtained the title of European Ph.D. School and year
by year it increased the number of international students
joining the School (100 in 2014!).
This year the European Ph.D. School, at the 16th edition,
can be considered one of the most important event in
Europe involving PhD Students. The winning formula
includes not only theory and application oriented
lectures but, also, direct interactions of participant PhDs
to establish cross-border cooperation, meetings with
international companies oriented to research
cooperation and recruitment, social and group events.
Venue for 2015 edition: the ancient Angevin Castle in the
beautiful seaside town of Gaeta, Italy.
