    The Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa held a communication skills workshop called "Vocalize". The workshop aimed to help 55 participants lay a foundation for effective communication and public speaking. It was led by IPP Rtr. Chinthaka Dharmasiri and toastmaster Srianthie Marian Salgado. Participants engaged in interactive sessions, acting out dramas to practice their new skills. Feedback was positive, with participants feeling they better understood public speaking dos and don'ts. However, the 45% turnout was lower than expected due attendance conflicts with academic responsibilities. For future events, time will be managed more effectively to improve participation.

    Proceedings were shared & updated on facebook page of Rotaract Mora.

    Rotaract Mora team identified the urging need of having effective communication skills to reach up in the
    corporate carrier ladder are of greater importance in todays competitive world.
    So Vocalize was initiated as a communication enhancement workshop, which was conducted by IPP Rtr.
    Chinthaka Dharmasiri & Toast Master in International (IMI) Ms. Srianthie Marian Salgado, aiming to improve
    the effective communication of the Mora Rotaractors.

    :
    All the participants were able to get a good overall understanding
    on the dos and donts in public speaking and effective communication. With the interactive session, they were able to
    put into use what they grabbed at the workshop, right at the spot by acting dramas and engaging in interesting
    speech sessions.
    Areas of Improvement
    :
    Attendance of members was not up to expected level due to
    academic work at the university. Time constraints will have to be managed more effectively in future events to avoid
    such shortcomings.
