Some of the Questions that are mostly asked to the Candidates:

1) Tell Me some Thing About Your Self?

Always Start With your Name follow that by your Age ( Dont say date of
Birth Say only Age)
After that tell your Residence for Example if you stay at 4 Bungalow,
Andheri dont say
I reside at 4 Bungalow Andheri say I reside at
Andheri Mumbai.
After that say about your family , just say how many members are there in
your family no need to describe what your father does mother does and
all, just tell the number of family members including yourself, if they say
tell me more about your family then say Describe what your father is
doing , what your other family members are into.
After that Say about your Education Qualification like you will say as per
my education Qualification I am a Hotel Management Graduate, (and if
you have Scored First class or Distinction then only say that I have
completed my Bachelor or diploma in hotel management with First class
etc.if you have Scored below First class just say that I have completed my
Diploma or Degree in hotel Management.
After Education Qualification say About your Experience , if you dont have
any Experience just say As per my Experience is Concerned I am a
Fresher , and if you have any experience just say about your Duration ,
Designation and Company Name and Location(City Wise) of work example
if I have 1 year experience in I will say as per Experience is concerned I
have 1 year of Experience as Steward in _____Hotel , City

 Last Comes Hobbies , When You Write hobbies be very Careful because
you might get very stressing question on your Hobbies , example if you
mention I like music they might ask what type of music do you like , who is
your favourite musician what is your favourite song who is your favourite
singer etc if you mention I like Playing Cricket then they might ask who
is your Favourite player or more related to Facts about Cricket etc if you
like Reading Books they might ask you what is your favourite book , what
books have you read what have you learned from that book etcthe
main thing we are trying to Explain you is that be careful on everything
you Write in your Resume.
( EX: How to tell Myself > Myself ABC, i am 22 years old i Reside at
Bandra, mumbai , My family consist of 4 members including me , as per
my education i am a hotel management graduate and as per my
experience is concerned i am a fresher adn my hobbies are Listening
music ,playing Cricket )

2) Why have you Chosen Hotel Management as your

Career?
You have to be Very Specific about your Answer, never answer that
parents forced you or your friend was going so I chose it or something
related to that always make your answer that it shows your passion and
willingness towards making your career in hotel management, always try
to make this answer very simple.

3) Why Particular Designation in hotel Management?

(Like if you are going for Steward then they will ask you Why F&B
Department or Steward in hotel Management)
OR
(If you are going for Housekeeping then Why Housekeeping)
OR
(If you are going for Front office then why front office)
The Main Question would be like Why You have Chosen Certain Department in
hotel Management?

 The Main Objective of asking this Question is to know you interest and
stability in the Department.
Always Answer stating that you are very much comfortable in this
Department but at same time also defend yourself that I am comfortable
in all the departments but my keen interest of working is in
________( Mention for which department or designation you are there for an
interview).

4) Why ITC ?
This is the Question they would ask you to check your Stability in the
Hotel.
Be very positive in your answer at the same time try not to use or say too
much flattering words.
Like in Simple Ways you can say ITC is a very Reputed Brand in the 5
Star hotels and has I looking for a very stable career and I know and
believe that ITC will be the perfect place to build my career.

5) Technical Questions
Technical Question is related to Your Designation.
For Example if you are going for F&B or Stewards profile they will surely
ask you about Types of Breakfast, Types of Cocktails and Various other
Technical Things Related to your Job and Department which were taught in
your Academics please go through all your Technicals and revise it
properly.

For Example if you are going for Front office job then they will ask you
about Different
like

Currencies and Capital of Various countries in World

(USA / UK / EGYPT / JAPAN / EUROPE / PAKISTAN / BANGLADESH / MALAYSIA /

LONDON / DUBAI / SINGAPORE / CHINA / IRAQ / IRAN / ITALY / BRAZIL /
SOUTHAFRICA / NEWZEALAND / AUSTRALIA/ Spain /NETHERLAND / Sweden /
Greece / Germany / Rome and various famous Countries their currencies and
their capitals).
Mostly you should know the current currency Rate of ( Dollar / Pound /
Euro / Rupee / Dinar / Riyal / Yen ).
International Airlines in India:
(Air India, ,Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Air Canada, Air
Mauritius, Emirates, Royal Nepal Airlines, Philippine Airlines,
United Airlines, Gulf Air)

6) Why should we hire you?

Never to this question answer like I am am the best or I worth it or such
answer.
Your Answer should be like I believe that I have potential to perform
this job and I posses the skill which are required for this job (when you
say I posses the skill, he might ask you what do you think what skills do
you have or what do you think which skills are required for the job @
you have to simply in such questions answer that I am confident and I
have a good technical and communication skill or you say some
personal skill related to the job.)

8) If you Have any Experience you are likely to get a Question why
did you leave you Past job ?

Never give any negative answer about your last company.

9) If you get any Better Job in another Hotel Will you leave this
Organisation?

No, As i am looking for a very Stable Career and i think i am a

hardworking and has my work will definitely lead me to a great heights in
ITC or you can answer something accordingly .

10) There would be at least 5 Question on Current or Famous

News?

Go through to some days back newspaper, (if you want past newspaper
then you can read it online, you can type epaper on Google you will get
the Links).

11) They will ask you question on some of the ministries in India like:
President of India
Vice President of India
Prime Minister of India

- Pranab Mukherjee.
-Mr.Hamid Ansari
- Dr Manmohan Singh

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

And some of the Main ministry like Finance Minister, Petroleum
Minister, Education Minister, Health Minister etc.....

Very Important:

1) Always wear formals.

Male Candidate in formals with Tie or Business Suit.
Female Candidates in Indian formals or western formals or in decent
professional saree.
2) Never Ever go in Funky or any Weird Hairstyle.
3) Please Male Candidate Always Shave and Go.
4) Female Candidates do only simple Make up.
5) Carry Two Resume and a Passport Size Photograph.

6) Carry a Photo ID Card

7) Whenever you enter into the Interview Cabin Always take Permission and
then Enter.
8) While Sitting Ask Permission to Sit.
9) While Sitting dont Show Nervousness or move your Legs or see here or
there.

Suppose you Dont Know any Answer then tell the Interviewer that

Sir/Madam I am Extremely Sorry but at this point of time the Answer is

not Clicking into my Mind, after interview if you want i will get you on
that
