My name Ana Cristina Espinosa Andr, I am also known as Cristina Andr, I
am a singer-song writer, guitar principal, producer and DJ. Ive always been into music, and I will always be. I started playing piano when I was 7 years old and guitar when I was 13 years old, since then Ive always been in love with music. When I was in high school, I had a band were I was vocalist and guitarist, we played a lot of concerts and composed our own music, during that time, I went twice to a summer music camp in California called: Soundwall Rock Music Camp, and then I came to the five-week summer program. I started Berklee College of Music in spring 2013, while I was here, I started a rock/pop music project as a soloist, it became really popular in Mexico, so I went back to work on my music, and I recorded my songs in a professional studio in Mexico, played in lots of important venues in Mexico in front of more than 2,000 people, but despite this I wanted to come back to Berklee and finish my diploma, but I couldnt because me and my family were having finance trouble and so I wasnt able to afford to pay the whole tuition. I decided that I was going to make it happen somehow, so besides my pop music project, I started working with my brother in a Music production company that we both developed, called Mamut Productions. In Mamut we would set up audio and lighting for events and aso work as Djs. We started to became recognized in a short time and we were asked to produce huge weddings and concerts and different events, I started to get recognized as a Dj, so I was asked to play in nightclubs and festivals and different events as a DJ, I got radio interviews, I was in an article for a newspaper and more. While I was working as a DJ, and performer with my other pop project. I continued with my music production studies in Berklee Online and in a university in Mexico called Tecnologico de Monterrey. I fell in love with electronic music and thanks to Mamut and everything I did in mexico I got into electronic production and design. So I came back to Berklee as soon as I earned enough money from my job in Mamut and my parents were also able to support me. Here at Berklee, I started a Mexican student association at Berklee, were we make concerts, events and meetings for networking, playing shows and more. This has been a great experience, because Ive met a lot of people and not only from Mexico, but people who is interested in Mexican culture and wants to work with us. I also started working at the office of admissions as a communication clerk. Ive learned so much here and I feel great helping new students with their applications for Berklee.
