Problem definition/research objective:

Performance appraisal system is the backbone of any organization for the proper functioning of
the organization and maintain the morale of the employees. Through this system the management
is able to understand and identify the strengths and weakness of there employees and also get to
know whether there is any need of training and rewards.
The organization considers the performance appraisal system as the method for categorizing
there employees, also through this performance appraisal, they try to calculate the needs and
requirements of the organization. Whether they need to upgrade there existing employees or they
need to get new employees, also they understand there employees problems, they try to find out
the reason for the poor performance of there employees, if any.
Thus in this way performance appraisal system, helps the organization understand and focus on
lots of critical and important issues of the organization.

Scope of thesis work:

By this research work we would try to answer following questions:

What is the performance appraisal system followed In the organization.

What is the response of the employees towards this system.

Is there any need for the any kind of change in the system

What is the change (if any) one need to make in the system so as to make it better.

Research methodology:
Questionnaire method: sample size 50, this research methodology would be implemented on
the employees of the organization. As for coming up with a inference one need to have the
sample size 33, also the employees in the organization are not much in number so taking a
sample of 50 would be an appropriate choice.
