INTRODUCTION

The SOLETEQ marcet boiler (model:HE 169) is a unit designed to demonstrate the
boiling process of thermodynamics studies. Thermodynamics is a part of physics which deals
with work energy and power of a system. Thermodynamics mainly works with large-scale
system, which can be measured by experiment study of liquid or gas or the properties of fluid
isalso a part of thermodynamics.

The students is able to study the relationship between the pressure which atmospheric
and 10 bar and temperature of saturated steam in equilibrium with water. While small scale gas
interactions can be described by the kinetic theory of gases which is compliment to
thermodynamics. The saturation pressure curve can be determined at the pressure.

The unit is made of stainless steel pressure vessel fitted with high pressure immersion
electrical heater. It also have a safety relief valve which when the pressure is more than the unit
can accommodate. There is a temperature and pressure measuring devices. Water can be allow to
charge due to the feed port installed to the unit.

Students are able to read the respective values in the digital indicators easily by the
temperature and pressure transducers. The Marcet boiler filled with water is to be healed first,
until a certainabsolute pressure reached. Then the heater will be turned off and will be allowed
tocool down to its initial temperature. The increasing and decreasing temperature willbe recorded
for further use and calculation of the experiment.

AIMS
This experiment was carried out in order to determine the relationship between the
pressure and the temperature of saturated steam in equilibrium. Moreover, this experiment also
was conducted to demonstrate the vapor pressure curve
