the brain is one of the nerve
centers that constitute the brain. It is located on the top and front of the cranial cavity and appears in all vertebrates beings. In humans, the brain weighs between 1.3 and 1.6 kilos. The cerebral cortex (ie, the surface of the brain) houses some 22,000 billion neurons, according to that expressed in the most renowned medical studies. The brain is the organ responsible for controlling and coordinating every move we make and process sensory information. On the other hand, is dedicated to regulate the homeostatic functions such as blood pressure, body temperature and heart rate. In short, the brain is responsible for learning, cognition, memory and emotions. Its operation is performed through the interaction between different areas. The brain is divided by the right and left. The left hemisphere is responsible for handwriting recognition and consistency between different words that form a sentence, as well as speech understanding of numbers and mathematical and logical operations, and even of abstraction needed to express ideas oral or gestural form. The right hemisphere, in a complementary way, is in possession of the integration of visual and audio information, to assist with the orientation in space and understand the world through the feelings and sensations; works in an almost opposite way to left, trying to combine the concepts into a whole, rather than divide them into smaller portions. This hemisphere is considered the most active in people with skills for art in general. An interesting example explains that if we unexpectedly with someone you know, is this region which performs the relevant facial recognition, although further work needs the left hemisphere to find in our memory your name and other personal information.
