Acupressure Emotional Freedom

Techniques (EFT)

EFT is a form of
psychological
acupressure, based
on the same energy
meridians used in
traditional
acupuncture to treat
physical and
emotional ailments
for over five
thousand years, but
without the
invasiveness of

needles. Instead,
simple tapping with
the fingertips is
used to input kinetic
energy onto specific
meridians on the
head, face and chest
while you think
about your specific
problem - whether it
is a traumatic event,
an addiction, pain,
etc. - and voice
positive
affirmations. This
combination of
tapping the energy
meridians and
voicing positive
affirmation works to
clear the "shortcircuit" - the
emotional block from your body's
bioenergy system,
thus restoring your
mind and body's
balance, which is
essential for optimal
health and the
healing of physical
disease.
When you read
this page, most of
you will be
skeptical. That is
normal, because this
healing method is
contrary to most
people's belief
systems. If someone
told you 30 years
ago that you can
order any product or
service without a
phone, without
leaving your house,
that you can talk
with people from all
over the world,
without a phone,
without leaving your

house, you would

have been skeptical
too, correct?
However, since the
advent of the
Internet, your
skepticism of the
above quickly
vanished. So it can
with EFT. It will
make a difference in
your life! Just give it
a chance. The earth
was round before
people figured out it
was round. Same
with EFT. EFT has
always been
possible and has
been known of being
used for the last
5000 years.
Whether you believe
in it or not: it will
work, provided you
do it right, of
course.
Today there are
many websites,
books and videos on
the Internet about
EFT and about how
to learn it. Most of
these resources are
free. So isn't it
worth spending a a
little bit time
learning a healing
technique for almost
anything? A healing
technique that costs
nothing, has no side
effects and is pain
free? Imagine how
many hours you
spend at doctors,
psychiatrists,
reading drug
instructions (and the
results are usually
not permanent and

the treatments are

painful and often
include side effects)
- way more than the
amount of time you
would learn and
perform EFT for your
ailments/issues.
With EFT treatment
is permanent and
pain free, plus there
are NO side effects!
There are several
different variations
of EFT, and many of
them are easy to
learn and easy to
remember.
EFT is an
emotional version
of acupuncture,
except we don't
use
needles. Instead,
we stimulate the
meridians
by tapping on
them with our
fingertips. EFT is
an obvious
extension of
Einstein's discovery
in the 1920's that all
matter, including the
human body, is
composed of energy.
We're not sure why
this works so well.
Perhaps you can
help with the
explanation after
you experience it.

Using EFT for OCD

(Obsessive
Compulsive
Disorder)
EFT often provides
surprising results for
OCD (Obsessive
Compulsive
Disorder). The
benefits are two
fold: First, just
performing the
mechanical
application of EFT
usually collapses the
immediate need to
perform the
behavior. This is a
big help, but is
usually temporary.
However, in a few
cases this simple
procedure also
collapses the entire
compulsive behavior.
Second, EFT's long
term successes are
due to its ability to
address the true
cause of most
compulsions ...
namely ... the need
to "tranquilize"
anxiety caused by
unresolved
emotional issues.
Until one's
underlying anger,
fear, guilt, trauma,
etc. are dissipated,
the compulsive
behavior will
remain. EFT is
ideally designed to

collapse these issues

(that is what it does
best) and, properly
applied, the need to
tranquilize
disappears. And with
it goes the
compulsion. It
should be evident
that compulsions,
addictions, eating
disorders and weight
issues have similar
emotional causes.
EFT blends
perfectly with
Cognitive
Behavioral
Therapy because
it helps bring up
the issues faster
and creates more
(and deeper)
Cognitive Shifts
behind the
scenes. EFT works
like hypnotherapy
but adds extra
power to the
process because it
integrates the
body's subtle
energies. EFT works
like talk therapy
with the advantage
that it allows us to
get to the issues
faster and resolve
them more
thoroughly.
Finally, EFT works
better than SSRI's
or other drugs,
because it
addresses the root
cause of OCD and
anxiety disorders.
Please note: EFT
for OCD is not a
quick fix. The
techniques need to

be applied several
times over a period
of time, depending
on the severity.
Also, if you are not
familiar enough with
EFT and you have
severe OCD, you
should consider
getting help form a
EFT professional.

EFT IN A
NUTSHELL
The following is
'The Basic Recipe'.
Memorize it well.
Aim it at any
emotional or
physical problem
by customizing it
with an
appropriate Setup
affirmation and
Reminder Phrase.
Be specific! Where
necessary, be
persistent until all
aspects of the
problem have
vanished. Try it on
everything!!
The discovery
Statement:
"The cause of all
physical symptoms
and negative
emotions is a
disruption in the
body's energy
system."
THE BASIC
RECIPE
If it is feasible, rate
the degree this
symptom presently
interferes with your
ability to function

normally on a scale
from 0 to 10, with
zero being no effect
and 10 the greatest
effect imaginable.
1. The Setup ...
Repeat this
affirmation 3
times: "Even though
I (still) have this ....
(FILL IN YOUR
PROBLEM/AILMENT)
, I deeply and
completely accept
myself", while
continuously rubbing
the Sore Spot or
tapping the Karate
Chop point (see
graphic below).(the
sore spot is directly
below center of
collarbone between
3rd and 4th rib). The
sore spot is usually
more effective than
the Karate Chop
point.
2. The
Sequence ...
Tap about 7 times
with 3 or 4
fingertips, but
preferably with all
fingertips, on each
of the following
energy points while
repeating a
Reminder Phrase at
each point. (insert
"remaining" when
repeating the
sequence and the
problem has gotten
better). The
Reminder Phrase
should be the
specific problem,
e.g. "fear or cross-

contamination",
"urge to count",
etc., not just "OCD".
EB, SE, UE, UN,
Ch, CB, UA, Th.
IF, MF, BF, KC (see
graphic below)
The abbreviations
for these points are
summarized below
in the same order
listed above. It is
also the order in
which they should
be tapped:
EB = Beginning of
the Eye Brow;
SE = Side of the
Eye;
UE = Under the Eye;
UN = Under the
Nose;
Ch = just above
chin;
CB = Beginning of
the Collar Bone;
UA = Under the
Arm;
Th = Side of Thumb
nail;
IF = Side of Index
Finger;
MF = Side of Middle
Finger;
BF = Side of Baby
Finger;
KC = Karate Chop
(the karate chop
point is between the
little finger and wrist
on the side of the
hand)
3. The 9 Gamut
Procedure ...
Continuously tap on
the Gamut point
(point on the back
of the hand,
between and just
below knuckles of

the 4th and

5th finger, see
graphic below) while
performing each of
these 9 actions:
(1) Eyes closed
(2) Eyes open
(3) Eyes hard
down right
(4) Eyes hard
down left
(5) Roll eyes in
circle
(6) Roll eyes in
other direction
(7) Hum 2
seconds of a song
(8) Count to 5
(9) Hum 2
seconds of a song.
4. The Sequence
(again) ...
Tap about 7 times
on each of the
following energy
points while
repeating a
Reminder Phrase at
each point. EB, SE,
UE, UN, Ch, CB,
UA, Th, IF,` MF,
BF, KC
Note: In subsequent
rounds "The Setup"
affirmation and the
"Reminder Phrase"
are adjusted to
reflect that you are
addressing
the remaining
aspects of
the problem.

When and how

often should you
do EFT?
About 5-10 times

per day depending

on the severity of
your issue.
1. When you wake
up
2. Before meals
3. When you go to
bed (This seems
to be the most
effective!)
