Professional statement

Teaching is the highest form of understanding

- Aristotle-

All this while Im glad that I had so much of opportunity to learn, to make
mistakes and to master all the tricks for good classroom management out of it. Well,
now its time to apply them. All those experiences craved passion in me to work in this
field. Now, I am a trainee teacher at SK Seri Nilam, Terengganu. My internship will be
for one months ( 7th July 2014-6th August 2014). Since this will be my final semester I am
looking forward to give my best shot.

Let me share something. I choose to be a teacher because I like to share

knowledge and experiences. I truly believe teaching will be a leading path for
destination called experience. In this era teaching can be tedious if we as teachers do
not make it fun. So, I have this crave in my heart to prepare loads of teaching materials
which I can use to create a nurturing and fun lesson. Teaching can be challenging but I
relish doing it.
My hope for this internship is to discover more leadership skills, potentials and to
create my own identity as a teacher. I can see clearly the upcoming challenges and its
going to be bit hectic but I believe nothing comes easy. I hope to put all the knowledge I
have gained in IPG into practice. I want to be out of ordinary this time. I want to leave an
impact on all the pupils or at least one or two will do. I wish my teaching will be able to
improve their English proficiency level.

Besides that, we are required to do projects as group and individual as well. The
headmistress wanted us to decorate the English corner and the Self Access Learning
Room. Well, for the individual project I am planning to do Hari Raya greeting cards with
the students. I am very sure time will pass fast as we will be loaded with loads of task.

I will try as much as possible to cope up with whatever situation to get through
this as this will be such an unforgettable first- hand experience. During this period, we
are also required to carry out an action research on English Language learning. I firmly
believe I can incorporate all I have learned this while to make this research a successful
one. Im definitely going to learn beyond infinity for this internship and improve myself
from time to time.
