Sustainable Development Course
This course comprises two research groups: Advanced Environmental Technology and
Ecological Engineering. In this course, students have the opportunity to learn electronics,
material engineering, chemical engineering, ecological engineering, and civil engineering.
Graduates trained in this course are expected to become worldwide leading engineers and
scientists who can contribute to the sustainable development of human activities.
Admission Policy
The Department of Environmental and Life Sciences welcomes applications from students
from all academic backgrounds. In particular, we seek candidates with high academic
potential and interest in environmental and life sciences and related areas. The Program
offers a rich educational curricula to nurture graduates with outstanding scientific capability
and technical skills required for understanding advanced technology and pursuing research.
In order to achieve the goals of our Program candidates are expected to possess the
following academic requirements and aims for admission:
An excellent academic record and the ability to think independently and apply their skills
and knowledge for the development of a sustainable society, for the mutual benefit of
human and nature.
An in-depth understanding of physics, chemistry and biology, and a strong interest in
interdisciplinary research and applications of their skills to life sciences, materials
science, and environmental science.
A strong desire to study with a global perspective and excellent judgment skills for
leading innovative research projects.
