Native Village of Eyak

Janitorial bid description 2015


Contract start date April 15th, 2015
This contract is for one year and put up for re-bid each year.
Ilanka building (approx 5500 square feet)
Cultural Center (1st floor, side next to AC, approx 1,500 square feet)
Public Health Nurse space (1st floor, opp cultural center, approx. 1,500 square feet)
Masonic Hall as needed (approx 1,800 square feet)
Duplex Units as needed (approx 750 square feet each)
Rental House as needed (approximately 750 square feet)
Ilanka clinic leased building (approx 4,600 square feet)
Native Village of Eyak provides basic cleaning supplies and some equipment such as
vacuum cleaners, dusters; other supplies or equipment must be supplied by bidder.

Duties-Office and Cultural Center
Each time
clean all bathrooms (completely scrub toilet, wipe down walls beside toilet, wipe
down horizontal surfaces, clean sink, replace soap, paper towel, toilet paper and
empty/replace garbage bag, and sweep/mop.
clean kitchen (wash dishes in sink, wipe down counters, empty garbage, sweep
and mop)
dust desks and all horizontal surfaces (cabinets, bookshelves, etc.)
vacuum all carpeted areas, sweep and mop all hard floor surfaces-using woodfloor approved cleaner for wood floors
empty all garbage cans and replace bags
Perform other cleaning duties (i.e., spot clean doors/walls for hand prints)
Empty garbage can in downstairs lobby and replace bag
Each week
Scrub down kitchen (wall behind garbage, move items on counter top to scrub
around, move items on floor to sweep and mop.
Shake out throw rugs, vacuum beneath (each cleaning time at Masonic)
Wipe down heat registers (each cleaning time at Masonic)
Vacuum under desks and stairs going down to first floor
Spot clean carpet
Vacuum and wipe down elevator

Semi-annually
Wash insides of windows and high surfaces such as outside of light covers.

Scrub bathroom sink, toilet, mirror, walls and floor
Empty and wipe down wastebasket
Replace toilet paper, paper towels and soap
sweep and mop the hall floors including hallway
wipe down window sills and registers and any tables
empty garbage and replace bin liners
vacuum all rugs
Scrub kitchen sink and window sills, do dishes and put them away, wipe down
countertops, stove and microwave
sweep and mop, empty garbage and replace bin liners
Duplex and rental house-if necessary, volume expected to be less than once a month,
may be only a couple times per year

clean out fridge and wipe down
wash linens, remake beds, vacuum and/or steam clean rugs and furniture, sweep and mop
floors, wipe down laundry area cabinets and washer/dryer
wipe down tables, dressers, TV, registers, blinds, wash windows and sills

Cordova Public Health Center
1st floor Ilanka building (approx 1500 square feet)
Each day (five days per week)
Clean all bathrooms,(completely scrub toilet, wipe down walls beside
toilet, wipe down horizontal surfaces, clean sink, replace soap, paper
towel, toilet paper and empty/replace garbage bags, and sweep/mop.
Sanitize and wipe down public areas:
Toys, chairs, Reception counter, exam table, exam countertops, specimen
pass through in bathroom, and lab counter.
As Needed
Refill paper towel, toilet paper, soap, toilet seat cover dispensers and
feminine hygiene depositories as needed. Refill water bottles in water
dispensers if empty.
Each Week

Dust desks, filing cabinets, registers, window sills and all other horizontal
surfaces. Shake out area rugs, spot clean cabinets.
Every 6 months
Wash inside of all windows, dust lighting fixtures, spot clean walls.
Ilanka Clinic Leased Space
Each day:
Reception area and hallways
Walls spot cleaned (includes door moldings and underneath counter)
Door handles disinfected
Clean front entrance glass
Any cobwebs removed
Furniture wiped down and dusted, including sides, arm rests and feet
Move magazines to wipe down furniture as necessary
Coat racks, mirrors, TVs and other equipment dusted and wiped down
dust picture frames
Ledges, kickboards, heating registers wiped down
Rugs vacuumed and spot cleaned
Sanitize toys-if any
Procedure
Wet and wipe down toys with solution made of one tablespoon bleach to gallon of
water.
Sweep and mop floors-remove rugs to do this
Empty all trash baskets, wipe down as necessary, replace liners and place in
designated area
Kitchen area
Clean countertops-pull items forward to clean behind them
Clean and disinfect sinks, shine chrome
Wipe down backsplash, soap and paper towel dispensers
Fill all dispensers
Refrigerator front and sides wiped down
Microwave cleaned inside and out
Walls, door moldings and kickboards spot cleaned
Wipe down door handles
Outside of cabinets cleaned and polished
Any furniture-table, chairs wiped down and dusted
Cobwebs removed
Floors swept and mopped-including behind doors and corners
Empty all trash baskets, wipe down as necessary, replace liners and place in
designated area

Restrooms
Clean and sanitize using germicidal cleaners
Sinks cleaned and disinfected
Clean and polish all mirrors, chrome and light fixtures
Clean and sanitize all toilets, inside and out and back
Refill all soap, paper towel and toilet paper dispensers
Empty all trash baskets, wipe down as necessary, replace liners and place in
designated area
Clean walls, especially beside toilet and sink
disinfect urine specimen holder if any
Floors swept and mopped-including behind doors and corners
Empty all trash baskets, wipe down as necessary, replace liners and place in
designated area
Wipe down door handles
Office areas-including nurse area
disinfect all tables, counters and cabinet doors
empty all trash baskets and replace liners-place trash in designated areas
spot clean walls and carpets
sweep, mop and/or vacuum floors depending on type of floor
dust ceiling air vent returns if any
wipe down registers, kick boards
dust high and low all work stations
wipe down electric cords
dust all desks, chairs, moldings, sills, picture frames and other horizontal surfaces
Exam room
disinfect any telephones
disinfect all furniture-chairs, couches
disinfect and shine sink, countertops and cabinets-pull items forward to disinfect
behind them
disinfect cabinet surfaces and doors
dust ceiling air vent returns if any
dust blinds and blind cords
clean windows, sills, registers, moldings etc
spot clean walls and moldings
refill soap, paper towel, Kleenex dispensers
sanitize and disinfect exam table, top, sides, stirrups and foot rests and pumps, lift
back paper to do this
empty all trash baskets, wipe down as necessary, replace liners and place in
designated area
wipe down door handles
floors swept and mopped-including behind doors and corners
Janitor closet/equipment
Keep janitor closet clean, swept and mopped
Keep supplies orders
Equipment such as mops, brooms and vacuums clean and neat, no mold smell
Use correct formula when mixing concentrated cleaners.

Bids may be handwritten or typed, minimum information must include:


Date, bid amount, name of bidder and if applicable, name of bidders business and address,
email address, and phone number of bidder and signature of bidder. Bids should be calculated on
square footage of spaces, provided above.
Bids will only be accepted in sealed envelopes. Envelopes should be addressed attn: NVE janitorial
bid 2015. Bids must be received in NVE office by 5 pm April 13th, 2015. Late bids will not be
considered. NVE reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
