• Identified technologies and knowledge areas required to support almost 400 applications in use,

house operation
• Managed Quality Assurance of legacy system replacement (a $700M effort) migrating to a Service
Oriented Architecture (SOA), web/JAVA based environment for intranet users and Business-to-
Consumer (B2C) Portal. Technologies included Mainframe, Wintel, and UNIX (several types).
Activities included interface design and test, physical environment design, data migration and
transformation including audit of vendor process and work products, as well as functional and non-
functional validation.

• Developed SDLC process and a repository of templates for adoption and use by all projects and

• Designed and implemented a global IT infrastructure with nodes in London, Singapore, Israel, and
California.
• Worked with president and board members to establish objectives and budget.
• Assembled temporary implementation team to build environment and train non-technical staff.
• Network installed without incident and project completed on time and on budget ($1.1M).
• Identified and implemented a Venture Capital application package to support the highly mobile
and distributed work force of approximately 80 employees.

Long Distance - Project Manager - Contract
Managed several efforts; project scale ranged from $1MM-$7MM.
• Established Network Cost Management and Revenue Assurance operations. All systems were
implemented on AIX. Responsible for process definition and systems to ensure costs of service
delivery were valid and that all earned revenues were realized. These efforts identified a source of
major revenue leakage (37%).
• Managed implementation of several billing systems for inbound wholesale call traffic.
• Specified switch call detail reporting requirements for international traffic.
• Negotiated terms/conditions for International Direct Operating Agreements with foreign carriers
(Asia, Americas). Managed process for reporting international call traffic and revenue exchange
with foreign carriers. Created process for dispute resolution.
