Yes,
our
outreaches
take
place
on
the
streets
of
NYC
and
NJ.
Therefore,
please
wear
clothing
appropriate
for
the
weather
and
comfortable
shoes
to
stand
or
walk
in
for
2
4
hours.
Also,
it
is
important
to
dress
modestly.
DO
NOT
wear
open-toed
shoes,
short
shorts,
bare
midriffs,
tight
clothing,
tank
tops,
clothing
with
vulgar
or
explicit
messages,
clothes
advertising
drugs/alcohol
or
wear
expensive
clothes
or
jewelry.
2. The
weather
reports
say
there
will
be
inclement
weather.
Will
you
cancel
the
outreach?
Unless
the
bridges
and
tunnels
are
closed
and
there
is
no
way
for
us
to
get
to
the
outreach,
we
never
cancel.
If
this
unlikely
event
happens
we
will
notify
you
as
soon
as
possible.
If
you
are
worried
about
your
safety
and
need
to
cancel,
please
contact
us
as
soon
as
possible.
We
are
not
responsible
for
volunteers'
belongings.
If
you
are
serving
at
one
of
our
bus
outreaches,
we
can
store
personal
items
in
the
van
or
bus,
but
it
will
not
be
locked.
If
you
are
meeting
us
at
The
Relief
Base
in
Elizabeth,
NJ
you
may
also
store
items
there.
Where
possible,
please
minimize
the
amount
of
personal
belongings
you
carry
with
you.
Around
our
base
in
Elizabeth,
NJ
there
is
street
parking
available.
If
you
meet
us
at
the
outreach
location
there
may
or
may
not
be
space
to
park
near
the
bus.
In
all
cases,
please
be
sure
you
are
obeying
all
posted
signs
concerning
parking
rules.
We
are
not
responsible
for
any
parking
tickets
you
may
receive
or
any
damage
to
your
vehicle.
You
are
welcome
to
enjoy
the
soup,
bread
and
drinks
at
an
outreach.
In
fact,
it
is
a
great
way
to
make
a
connection
with
one
of
our
guests
by
sharing
a
meal
with
them.
You
may
bring
snacks
for
the
bus
ride,
but
we
ask
that
you
not
bring
in
outside
food
during
an
outreach
unless
you
have
a
medical
reason
to
do
so.
If
that
is
the
case,
please
notify
us
ahead
of
time.
We
do
not
have
a
specific
age
limit
for
individuals
serving
at
an
outreach.
However,
while
street
ministry
is
extremely
rewarding,
there
are
many
challenges
that
require
a
level
of
maturity
and
responsibility.
Our
friends
on
the
street
are
struggling
with
various
issues
(including
addiction,
mental
illness,
etc.)
that
may
lead
them
to
be
agitated,
unfriendly,
use
vulgar
language,
etc.
It
is
at
the
discretion
of
the
childs
parent/guardian
if
they
feel
their
child
should
serve.
All
children
under
the
age
of
18
must
fill
out
our
Volunteer
Application
and
have
their
parent/guardian
sign
the
form.
Any
child
under
the
age
of
16
must
serve
with
an
adult
(1
adult
per
child).
Any
child
age
16
or
17
may
serve
without
an
adult
present.
Youth
Groups:
Due
to
the
demands
of
an
outreach
we
only
accept
groups
of
HS
age
or
older
students.
For
a
HS
group
(8-10
people)
we
require
a
minimum
of
2
adult
leaders
to
attend.
Students
must
still
follow
the
instructions
concerning
the
Volunteer
Application
outlined
in
question
