1. What is Sun? Draw a diagram of the Sun.

The Sun is a huge ball of fire. It is a star. It gives us heat and light. Without
Sun, the Earth would have been very cold and dark. We would not be able
to live without it.

The Moon is a star. It is round like a ball and much smaller than the Earth.
It does not give out its own light. The light of the Sun falls on the Moon
and makes it look bright. The Moon moves round the Earth. The Moon
shines in the sky at night.

We should store our food properly because if food is not stored properly it
get spoilt. Spoilt food has germs. It can make us sick. It is best to eat fresh
food.

Food is important for us in many ways. We need food everyday to live.
i) It gives us energy to work and play.
ii) It keeps us healthy.

The things which can move, eat, grow, breathe and reproduce are called
living things.
Example: man, plant, bird
House is a non-living thing because it can not move, breathe and grow.

If harmful germs get inside our body, we become ill.

oil, seed, fish, milk, butter, egg, chapati etc.
