Description :
Start by having participants line up in 1 row.
Each participant needs to answer one simple question (multiple choices).
If the answer given is correct, the participant can proceed to the bonus round in order for
them to gain more marks for their group.
Those given wrong answer, fail to gain any mark and are not qualified to be in the bonus
round.
15 minutes given for them to collect as much points as they could.
This continues until whistle blows.
(1 mark= 1 correct answer)
Bonus mark:
Similar to basketball but in this game, waste paper is used as ball and basket to replace the
hoop. The individuals have to shoot into the basket. Depending on individuals abilities, this
can be easy or really difficult. They have only one attempt. It is up to the organizer to put
the bottles at a reasonable distance for the students. The organizer encourages the
individual to give the best shot and also encourages others to encourage them.
Students feedback
Through my observation, students are really enjoyed with the activities. This can be
observed through their face expression and the committed participation of them.
Strengths
It gives students a break from the pressures of learning a new language while giving
the break a purpose, teach real world skills
It is a great way to get out of the rut of language drills, worksheets, boring repetition
and individual study
Friendly competition is also great to keep children interested it often is the one
encourager that they need to actively participate in any classroom activity
Weaknesses
Conclusion
We succeeded in designing a game that adheres to the kids game principles. The game
promotes both physical activity and spontaneous social interaction.
