Using illustrator, I created a logo, then I copied the logo into three separate
artboards, one at 8.5 x 11in, and two at 3.5 x 2in. When I started creating
my design for my letterhead and business card I moved my logo to the side.
In the front I used my logo and reshaped around the card to make a design.
I then freed it up with a white rectangle so it would have open white space
instead of trapped. I then cleaned it off with a clipping mask. For the back, I
created the design from parts of the logo, then deleted some specific parts
of it to make room for the information. I then finished it by incorporating a
QR code.

moved my logo to the side. I then played around with the shapes
builder tool and structure the main frame design of the letterhead.
Once it looked like a letterhead and all the information was in, I
incorporated my logo once in the top and one stretched to be a
centerpiece. I reduced opacity of the centerpiece so it could be
possible to write on. I also added a little accent on the bottom to give
it a little depth.

For the first two logos, I looked up some images of cranes. While
looking at them , I used the pen tool from adobe illustrator to sketch
the the main bodies of the birds. Then, I added shapes to where is
appropriate and adjusted using the convert anchor tool to make it fit
with the design. For the third logo and after, I sketched out the logo
in my notebook, then uploaded it, then created circles to fit into my
sketch. For all of the logos, I added colors that were gave a bold look
but still clean as well as colors from other sushi logos to my designs.
After that I researched a lot of Japanese fonts and picked my font
because it looked well with the name.

Coda, Photoshop
Objectives:
Process:
I created this web page using the program Coda. Having a current
class on web design, really helped me implement the techniques
of HTML/CSS for this project. I created a new HTML and CSS file
and added them to my project. First, I set the HTML syntax and add
my information text into the body. Then, I incorporated the images
and hyperlinks by enabling them to the code. I made sure all my
pictures were saved for web. Once I got through the body, I made
sure everything was correct from the title to the heading to the main
and to the footer and all content work and was fine. Coda enables
you preview your web page in-app if set in HTML. It also has a
validator checker built-in it as well. Once validated, I started on CSS
and got to colors I wanted to use as well as layout and sizes. Once
everything was complete I opened HTML file into Chrome and took a
screenshot and saved as a jpeg.

Starting this design, I first made some sketches of that a regular flier
would look like. I then incorporated geometric shapes I used in my
graphic design class and I eventually got a final sketch of it. After
the sketches, I used Adobe InDesign to recreate the flier. It took
time rearrange items to make the piece well contrasted. In trying to
get more emphasis on the copy text I just bold the first letter and
increase its font size.
