When Mohammad Tughlaq was shifting his capital from Delhi to
Daulatabad, and moving with his army, the cooks found it an uphill task to
provide such a big army with food. They smartly came up with a dish that
could suffice the imposing army. They dug a hot furnace and rolled out
thusands of golden colored Naan (round wheat flour bread) while cooking
mutton with a number of spices in the huge cauldron to make Khaliya.
